WWE: Raw and Smackdown Part 5 the Paul Levesque Era

imagine the whole f***ing crowd goes NUTS at the thought of la knight being involved in the main event scene week after week after week

and what is he?

always fodder for whatever terrorizing group is out there, first his entire story was being f***ed around by the bloodline now hus entire story is getting f***ed around by whatever the f*** seths group is

im genuinely close to dropping this and forcing myself to enjoy aew

She was but that doesn’t not make her a legend.

It doesn’t matter why, it just matters that she is. Being pushed to the moon and subsequently is exactly how this is supposed to work.
Them forcing Iyo Sky to act like a f***ing 4 year old mark when Nikki Bella appeared backstage was borderline vomit inducing.

She’s not a legend, lol.

What has she done that was “legendary”?

im far from a fan of the bellas, but they were a central part of the transition from womens wrestling being just ogle fest to being legitimate during that era

both are overrated though

Yeah, both went from being only eye candy and twin magic to being at least average in-ring workers. For their time, they have to be looked at a more positive light. They could work with the 4 Horsewomen when they were called up, even though it was clear, they were becoming outclassed. But just like with HOF inductions, you have to compare them to their respective eras.

I mean, sure, they were there around the same time. That’s it, though.

Is there a memorable match or feud with Nikki Bella that you’d tell someone to go re-watch?

Legend is a word that gets tossed around a lot and I can’t for the life of me attach that term to Nikki f***ing Bella.

I'm no fan of either Bella Twin, nor have I ever watched a single episode of Total Divas/Total Bellas.

But if we are talking successful/prominent female pro wrestlers, they were heavily featured/stared in 15 seasons of reality TV between the two shows.

There is something to be said for that regardless whether someone appreciates their in-ring work or not.

Bald fraud Pierce is on vacation, so Nick Aldis is GMing on Raw tomorrow. Liv vs Kairi announced and Liv will explain why she attacked Nikki Bella. Gee, I wonder who's going to help Kairi beat Liv...?

the more i think about it, the more i think the rtruth thing was 100% a dickhead work

not in the sense that they wanted to shock viewers, but as a way to make us believe the fans mean anything to the story

gives them more room as they are taking shit for not listening to fans on la knight, kross, bliss, etc

all manufactured so they can be like “you talked and we listened! we truly care what you think”

Randomly watched a Corny clip where he said Lyra Valkyria "Looks like she could be a clerk in a pet shop" and I've never heard a comparison more accurate.

Nikki Bella is not a legend just because she got pushed to the moon due to her affiliation with Cena and Bryan. Lol. Come on, now. That's a pretty liberal use of the word.

What else are they supposed to call her? Anytime they show a male performer from the 80s or 90s he's referred to as a legend regardless of who they were or what they achieved. No different than referring to current performers as "superstars".

It's called a Wrestling PROMOTION. Trying to make these performers larger than life. Leave it to the IWC to make an issue out of Nikki Bella being referred to as a legend on WWE TV.

I don't think it was a work.

But whether it was a work or a shoot, I think they decided to turn it into pushing Truth because it was really bad timing with MVP renewing the "Triple H hates black wrestlers" complaint.

The Truth situation was not a work. They're not that smart.
For awhile there they got good at avoiding negative fan reaction. (Think 2017 Royal Rumble, where they baited you into thinking Roman would win so fans didn't reject Orton winning)

But I dunno that they've ever really purposely manufactured a negative fan reaction with a prior plan to capitalize on it.
