WWE: Raw and Smackdown Part 5 the Paul Levesque Era

Cena not being there is on Cena and on management.

If you know you can't commit weekly, and management knows this, don't f***ing move ahead with it.

What should have been one of the most monumental moments of Cena's career has been arguably one of his worst.

The two night event also stinks but it's double the money so they will never get rid of it.

WrestleMania used to be for the best of the best - a culmination of fueds. Now it's just another PPV to get as many wrestlers on for bonus pay.
Last year had the best build in a long time. It was definitely the best of the best.

This year has been a total dud. Doesn't feel any more important than a B-PPV

Cena's booked to appear after Mania basically until Clash In Paris in August
Just because he's booked does not mean he is going to appear consistently. That's the worst part about these part-timers is they don't show up to deliver when you need them consistently, and the feud is left to be promoted by one guy.

  • April 20, WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas
  • April 21, Raw in Las Vegas
  • April 25, SmackDown in Fort Worth, TX
  • May 9, SmackDown in Dayton, OH
  • May 10, Backlash in St. Louis
  • May 24, Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tampa, FL
  • May 30, SmackDown in Knoxville, TN
  • June 6, SmackDown in Bakersfield, CA
  • June 13, SmackDown in Lexington, KY
  • June 20, SmackDown in Grand Rapids, MI
  • Aug. 31, Clash in Paris
  • Sept. 1, Raw in Paris

He mighr be pre-booked for these but I HIGHLY doubt he makes all or even most of them.

The most important build was for WM and he's hardly been around enough or done enough. We're supposed to believe he'll be around for Backlash and random ass Smackdowns?

He was booked to appear 35 times this year and IIRC, he specifically made space for those in his filming schedule.

At least last year you had The Rock there every single week building that feud.

Cena showed up for 5 minutes at the start of 3 Raws, all overseas, and cut the same promo on the crowd each time.

I think going to Europe for 3 weeks killed all of the momentum they had.

Whenever they go overseas they tend to go into full House Show mode and that's exactly what happened here, except it for half the mania build.

Yeah, it's been awful. Cena hasn't shown any desire to do anything remotely worthy of a WM match let alone a supposed main event match.

Even leading up to the Elimination Chamber, post-RR he just announced "I'm in" and didn't bother showing up after that.

I get it - you have movies to make. So go make your movies and leave the wrestling to the wrestlers.

It's one of those "if you know, you know" things.

WWF advertised a big main event with Steve Austin only to pull the rug out mid-show with the hit and run angle.

It's become synonymous with "card subject to change" because they intentionally misled their audience.

In other words they can advertise Cena all they want, but it doesn't mean they're going to deliver.
