WWE: Raw and Smackdown Part 5 the Paul Levesque Era

The Mania cards don’t really have me jumping for joy, maybe it’s because I’m not a fan of two night manias. I feel they end up a bit watered down. There’s a few matches that I don’t think are even remotely close to Mania matches.

They did well on the Seth/Roman/Punk hype, everything else is just meh. Cena/Rhodes will sell on the basis of Cena being heel. Tiffany/Flair was a horribly booked feud tbh, same with Guenther and Jey for the most part. A lot of MEH on the card but hopefully HHH has a booking masterclass

Flair vs Stratton at the top of that list because we all know the inevitable is happening....

The build for Cody/Cena has been embarrassingly bad.

The build for basically everything except the two triple threat matches has been embarrassing actually.

Most embarrassing though is how in retirement HHH somehow has an even bigger ego than before.

Puts himself into the hall (I mean he's obviously HOF but it's tacky putting yourself there) and then giving yourself a 5 minute tribute every single week? Come on man.

Nick Khan did that. He's not that good of an actor to fake that surprise.

Naomi vs Jade Cargill has actually had the second best build of the women's division and is the first non-title women's Wrestlemania match in history.

Yeah, not feeling Mania this year which sucks since it’s at Allegiant. No way I’m dumping the money they want to watch it live.
I just see matches like New Day vs War Raiders with essentially no build, Naomi vs Jade, Priest vs McIntyre, Bayley and Bird girl vs Liv and aura-less diesel etc as RAW/SD matches. They're just trying to get everyone on the card, which kind of sucks.

Well, that is what happens when you are trying to run what is essentially two 9-hour shows

I don’t mind it being two nights since the cards ended up being 5-5hrs long, but this year there’s just no really hype for it. Is it bc the main champ is as interesting as a doorknob? Maybe. Is it bc it’s in the back half of April which is honestly too late in the year for it? It is to me tbh. 5 days out and it just feels flat.

Their main event build has been John Cena opening Raws in Europe cutting a half assed promo on the crowd and Cody interrupting him to say "nuh uh".

The match will probably be fine, but the build has been an embarrassment.

Loading up the cards to get as much talent their WrestleMania paydays is what it looks like to me.

Not having Cena there the final few weeks is an absolute blunder.
Cena's turn writes itself and they've totally botched it. Creative/Cena had to be 100% all in, it's been half assed since John has limited appearances. The turn was shortsighted, feels like a manufactured moment to snatch views.

Glad more and more people are seeing this. The mania build overall has been downright terrible, I can't recall one this bad.

Cena not being there is on Cena and on management.

If you know you can't commit weekly, and management knows this, don't f***ing move ahead with it.

What should have been one of the most monumental moments of Cena's career has been arguably one of his worst.

The two night event also stinks but it's double the money so they will never get rid of it.

WrestleMania used to be for the best of the best - a culmination of fueds. Now it's just another PPV to get as many wrestlers on for bonus pay.

WM 31 had a pretty terrible build but the matches themselves from top to bottom killed it
