True. That RAW after Wrestlemania promo with Rock telling Cody he was coming for him whether he had the title or not never happened.

... Neither did the ending of Bad Blood.
Cody dapping The Rock up, drinking liquor, laughing and giggling as if the Rock didn't spray his brains all over his tour bus a few months ago. I just didn't get it it, lol.

I appreciated the genius of completely ignoring an entire year of booking so you could frame The Rock as a babyface for PR purposes... Only to end his involvement with him driving away after taking a shot of Tequila.

Nothing says "Protect your public image" like drinking and driving!

Apparently Becky was supposed to return during the Rhea/Liv match but that got cut for the Undertaker.

Lame.

It was Kieran Culkin.

The Rock promo was not kayfabe at all. And it was was obvious as soon as info came out about his filming schedule that nothing was going to happen for a very long time, which I think I may have brought up then.

We know, lol.

Actually, no we didn't, that was Fuller.
I just found it odd that the commentary ignored him ans focused on his brother.

I don't know who Fuller is.

Dude, no one is denying you said anything about the Rocks schedule. This is about the promo and interactions making zero sense.

Fuller is Kieran Culkin, we went through this last night, lol.

It truly is incredible how they consistently put out two years of compelling television, and then on their biggest show in years, where they're trying to hook as many new/lapsed fans as possible, they shit the bed and put out some Vince McMahon booking with zero intrigue to tune in next week.

I'm not down on the product as a whole. Triple H has earned good will as a booker. But damn did they blow an opportunity last night.

Never heard of him.
He's a legend. Look him up.

I also laugh so hard when HHH comes out and pumps up the whole "This is the largest gate in WWE RAW history!" and then the fans start cheering as if they didn't just have to take a second mortgage out to sit in the 300 section.

The whole bragging about your largest gate in front of the audience is just weird, anyways.

Aside from the fact that you're essentially bragging how much money you made the people in front of you pay, why the f*** do people watching on TV care about that? Save that stuff for the media and shareholders.

You're trying to leave a first impression and the first 25 minutes of the show were Triple H bragging about the business and The Rock completely shitting on the last year of storytelling.

I understand the gate being mentioned during a press conference or as a press release and I understand hyping up the number of people in attendance in front of the live crowd. I do not understand mentioning gate in front of the people. He might as well be saying that collectively you idiots paid more money than any other people before you. Not even for a PLE but it was for a RAW.

Like, if Rock can't work again that's OK. We all knew that was a possibility. But at that point just keep him away from any mention or appearance of Cody or Roman. Don't put him on live TV hugging both of them after he just appeared three months ago and gave both the throat slit gesture. You just pissed all over your own booking. Might as well have had Punk and Drew hug it out here, too.

They started doing that at Backalash Lyon. It is "hiding" that a very large reason for the gate is high ticket prices, not the attendance. Though I can see that last night's attendance was high as well. If they get to do a stadium show in France this or next year, maybe at the Lyon stadium which was used at the Olympics, and with high prices, they might set another record.
