I mean, Punk doesnt need to be jumping off the top of the cell.

Ortons injury going into that match was much more serious than Punks. His injury history is far more career threatening than Punks.

Again, it’s just dumb if it’s Seth. The logic doesn’t make a lick of sense other than Bronson being on the other side.

If WWE wanted to do a neat twist, have Rollins tell Reigns and Co. he'll agree to team-up, but on the condition that Seth is the "Lead Hound" and they do it his way, not as the OG Bloodline, but as The Shield. Elevates Seth and doesn't hurt Roman or the others.

Seth has clearly been a heel in those interactions. I don’t think Paul is concerned about major news-breaking heel (or face) turns if the crowd is going turn them anyways. It allows for the big turns within storylines to mean more, especially for those who need them for their development.

I agree to a point. I think what you'll see (or are seeing) is a lot less of them, even to where natural turns are the norm. But surprise shocking heel turns is a still a fundamental part of pro wrestling storytelling, the audience still likes to be surprised and have things happen in the story that they maybe don't see coming. Some of these natural turns I think are well planned out but they do such a good job now of blurring the lines between story and reality that it makes it seem like a natural turn, but it's where they wanted the audience to go anyways.

And the guy we are talking about (HHH) he himself has been part of many of the most shocking turns in WWE history. In some way he was involved in his own obviously at WM 15, Stephanie turning on Vince at Armageddon, the night after WM 17 he joins Austin who just went heel. Batista turning on him, Evolution turning on Orton, Rollins turning on the Shield, him turning on HBK in 2002. That's just off the top of my head. Ol' Trips loves himself a good surprise character turn, they just won't happen as often.

I think he will still do it, when it is called upon, however one thing we’ve seen is that Paul doesn’t really care if something is predictable if it’s the story being told, so there may not be a shock value to it. It’s yet to hurt him. But there will be a lot more times where people like Bryan Alvarez will get all pissy because people go back and forth perhaps, or act confused because someone didn’t have a clearly defined turn.
