Honestly the PP looked pretty good most of the night, even the penalty kill. The panthers really had nothing going until they scored at the end of theirs.

I didn’t think Freddy was bad, but certainly not sharp. I’m surprised Morrow even got another shift after the DoG penalty… who is next in line if Chatty can’t go? I’d put in Nikishin again, but I don’t see Rod doing that.

It's Nikishin, Stillman, or Morrow again if Chatfield can't go.

They aren't calling up Legault out of nowhere to debut in the conference finals. I think it's Chatfield or Nikishin in game 2.

Either or at this point. He's had one good stretch of play here. It was a nice try but he's a future journeyman.

I think with the Jankowski trade they have the depth to make the move this summer. It feels like they should be looking for a 2C, ideally righty anyway.

Getting near 5m to do nothing Robinson or a Noesen couldn't easily replace.

I'd almost think Suzuki or Robidas could at least offer something.

The path was there to it being a more competitive game. You don't have to let most of the major mistakes you make lead to goals. Most of the time it won't happen just out of luck. I think they also sloppied themselves out of some good chances all night. Just gotta hope this lights a fire under their ass for next game.

As for thursday, if chatty can't go just put orlov on the right with nikishin. Solves a lot of the language barrier issues on the ice, and orlov on his off side would be lidstrom compared to the night morrow just had.
