I dunno, the fact that you don't understand that forcing a guy to take a low scoring chance is a good thing pretty much erases that thought.

Not a single player is taught that - and for good reason. You're preaching an impossible, which is just silly.

It's a game of the slimmest margins, so you do whatever you can to limit percentages against you. It's amazing that this is exactly what the NBA does, but for some reason, it's an insane concept in hockey if your team gives up a shot attempt. It's the ultimate extreme end of a view point, and no truths ever lie in an extreme.
