A couple of things can be true at once:

Bissonette completely over dramatized the conversation captain Dahlin had with GM Adams, but a serious conversation did take place.

Dahlin most certainly expressed to Adams that being a bottom feeder again is unacceptable and how things need to change.

Ras definitely wants to be part of the solution, he's a loyal soldier, but the ceaseless losing is wearing him down.

It's quite likely that unless the cycle of losing is broken, Dahlin probably demands out of Buffalo within a couple of seasons.

They tease it at 6:25 and Biz starts off with "I just said what I heard." And throws in that "I'm not an insider." and "I threw in apparently."

And it quickly gets to speculation that Dahlin will eventually ask out because the Sabres are wasting his talent.

To me the only differences between when Eichel asked and when Dahlin asked are

1. Jack was worried about a rebuild. Not spending is an alarm bell that rings and makes sense if you aren’t trying to win. Dahlin sees it continue long past thar rebuilding phase….which he was here for all of btw…and it’s fair to ask if anyone gives a f*** about the results. Both were right to ask.

2. Jack put one foot out the door at the first sign of trouble even if he didn’t tell them. Dahlin is both feet in…but you have to change this load I’m trying to carry…because it’s bullshit. I respect the latter a lot more. But I’ll also be on his side if things don’t change and he tells them to go f*** themselves.

We know they lied to Jack. They cut more costs year after year.

We’ll find out if they lied to Dahlin.
