Rasmus Andersson Played Last 12 Games with a Broken Fibula

And NBA players sit out due to cramps. Insane

I don't like NBA, but you can at least move with broken bone (depending on severity, probably), while you can not absolutely move (and therefore playing sport) with cramps, if these are leg cramps.

Unlikely? They lost out on a tiebreaker.

Guy was a warrior. Explains how his play tanked. But he was still out there 20min+ a night.

Like...at that point, the Blues were rolling like an absolute wagon. It was pretty clear that they were going to be the team to make it. Along with the Wild who were gonna limp their way in a bit. Neat that the Flames actually held on to things enough to bring it to a "tiebreaker"...but the Blues were so strong down the stretch in terms of not only an inevitable overtaking, but in beating out any tiebreaker as well.

And at the end of the day...it's not even clear how much playing injured even helped or hindered the Flames anyway. All while jeopardizing a huge amount of future money. Which...cool...what a "warrior". But also kind of stupid.

There is quite literally no difference, call it a fracture, break or crack, it’s all the same thing. Obviously some fractures are worse than others, but those words all mean the same thing. Fracture would be the more common medical term and broken bone is generally what people say
I was referring to broke as not a fracture, but as a clean break, (all the way through, as in 2 pieces now , vs 1 piece.

Look back to how many Avs players suffered broken bones in their SC run and still played. You can call playing under that circumstance stupid but that level of commitment and dedication tells me the guy is a true warrior regardless of the score. Flames are very lucky to have the guy.

I would imagine there are various degrees of fractures. Yeah, some of them are definitely worse than others - I had a compound fracture of the fibula. And a pylon fracture of the tibia. But I still believe that playing PO hockey on any fracture including a hairline fracture would hurt. So let’s not minimize the injury.

Wow, it’s crazy how easy hockey is to play that you can play with a broken leg. No way could you play a hard sport like basketball like that.

depending where, that can still be brutal , especially for a hockey player if it's in his wrist, shoulder or knee... I have chronic tendonitis in my hands from cracking my knuckles and there are days that it is extremely unpleasant.
If it makes you feel better, the cracking your knuckles thing is likely not related to your tendinitis. You're probably just prone to tendinitis.

But yeah, tendinitis absolutely sucks. I'm prone to it in both hands and feet, and I while the feet mainly just hurt, I can't golf when my hands flare up.

Where on the fibula? But I hate this whole warrior culture in the NHL. This is how you end up with players that can't bend over to pick up their own kid
Close to the base inside the skate boot

Love all the hot takes in here from the keyboard warriors calling him, teammates and the Flames management liars.

Dude it's worse than that. They sit out in an effort to PREVENT cramps.

The NBA wonders why interest in their sport is plummeting...

Any given game, your best player might decide not to play for reasons of "load management".

Pair that with the fact that the game is now a glorified 3-point contest, and the product is unwatchable.

Honestly, the NBA should consider limiting the number of 3-point attempts, or just get rid them all together. Force players to actually attack and defend the rim again.

NBA officiating has also become repugnant. Some of the foul calls made today are laughable.

As a 90's/00's fan of the game, today's NBA sickens me. Buncha wannabe "gangsters" too soft to play two games in two nights.

Dead on. I too cannot stand the NBA anymore. I also hate the superteam crap and the culture around the game. There’s a lot of selfishness and entitlement.

That’s not that bad , had that for years, never stopped doing anything.
Motocross, hockey , baseball etc
I had carpal tunnel syndrome and just listened to my body, as well as negative causal factors (drums and computer work). Massaged myself, stretched, and relaxed when I needed to. Made a full recovery.

Idk it seems plausible to me. the fibula doesn’t bear any weight, unlike the femur or tibia. And I’ve broken my tibia before and didn’t realize it til weeks later

probably all depends on the location and severity of the fracture.
I walked around and drove with a broken ankle for hours until I finally decided to go the hospital. Not too smart. I'm lucky I didn't do permanent damage.

I don’t doubt him

He played like a guy with a broken leg

Same, but went straight to hospital, pushing in the clutch really hurt though.
