Necas has now hit 5 posts/crossbars in 6 games with COL. Makar hit two posts himself yesterday. It's been that kind of puck luck lately for the Avs.
NHL keeps stats of this and according to them Necas has 3 posts and 3 crossbars during this entire season.

Canes and Avs play tonight so this epic race rages on!

Maybe he had only one with CAR. I watch all Avs games and I can assure you that he had 5 posts/crossbars so far in the 6 Avs games.

These players are way too different in the ways they contribute to judge solely by points. Rantanen especially contributes with his physical presence. He doesn’t need to score to help his club win. Imo Nescas needs to be producing points to be a positive. Which he is doing.

Curious - Where do they rank in just points or goals though? Without the slicing.

I had a buddy that ranked 1 in attempts at the bar. Didn’t result in any scoring tho. Lol.

Seems both canes and Avs have slowed down in goal scoring since the trade.

Edit:
Since the trade both teams goal scoring -

Avs: 15 goals in 6 gp 2.5 gps
Canes 11 goals in 5gp 2.2 gpg

Before trade:

Canes 3.4 gpg
Avs 3.3 gpg

Both teams have taken a big hit in offence since the trade.

The Avs have had problems scoring all season especially on the PP.

In 11 games in January before the trade the Avs scored 2 goals or less 6 times. Scoring has been low for awhile now due to the PP being bad and Mitts regressing, which has hurt the 2nd line badly.

This hurricanes team is borderline unwatchable. Honestly this might be the worst team since the 2018-19 team just based on watching them alone. Since December 1st they have like 15 wins and 10 losses. The players can be one on one with the goalie then shoot at the boards and this happens all game this is how bad they are right now.

Before you call a team unwatchable for going 15-10 in 2 months…..walk a mile in a sabres fans shoes.

You don’t know misery. It’s just a slump while rants gets adjusted.

Is that just 2 points in 6gp as a Cane for Rantanen? Yikes. And it's killing my fantasy team! I think Biz is right when he says there is zero chance Rantanen resigns in Carolina... and, if it keeps going like this, there's zero chance the Canes would be coughing up 13x7 for him anyway.

Unfortunately, this trade seems like a big loss for everyone involved -- the Canes, the Avs, Rantanen, and especially the fans of both teams. The only one who "might" benefit is Necas, who gets to skate with MacKinnon and Makar for the foreseeable future.

Necas with a secondary assist! For this turtle race this is signifcant. This is like tracking Kampf vs Connor Brown lately.lol

I'm talking about MacKinnon dipping as well, after the trade.
Yep, 100%. Rantanen was the perfect fit in Colorado. The grass isn't always greener. If I'm Rants tonight... my agent would be fired immediately for overplaying his hand and playing me out of Denver.

FYI... as we speak, it looks like Necas just got a nice apple on the GA goal for the Avs... and 2 points for MacKinnon.
