Ranking the Best Under 23 NHL Players

Truth be told, power-ranking-type lists such as this one is worth no more than the paper you wipe your ass with while on the toilet. Who cares? I bet the players get a good chuckle out of it. The only one that matters a lick is Central Scouting Bureau's.

And yet they get lots wrong, too, in predicting NHL success.

Pronman must have had a reason. You're free to disagree, but he doesn't arbitrarily assign numbers.

At the end of the day, the list is meaningless, but it still sucks that Pronman sees a lot of Rangers prospects trending in the wrong direction.

Shutdown style defensemen aren’t very sexy and Pronman doesn’t care for that.

Maybe true for shutdown defensemen with limited perceived offensive upside, but I could see Seider and Power becoming offensively gifted shutdown defensemen.

All lists can be deemed somewhat meaningless, but I have no major quarrels with his top 10 as a snapshot of today.

im not sure i really agree with his opinion. How is miller ranked lower than jones? How did Schneider drop so far?

obviously laf and kakko havent had ideal starts but kakko should still be ranked higher too.

I'm in the minority but I like Jones's chances of becoming better than Miller.

im torn. I can see jones reaching full potential as more likely than Miller, but Millers total potential is much higher because of his size and athleticism. You cant teach size.

as of right now though, one is a top 4 dman and the other is in the ahl. Miller should definitely ranked higher right now though.

The rankings have nothing to do with today. It's only about his prediction for how it will turn out.

I don't disagree with moving them down but Laf above Kakko though? Kakko is clearly more developed at the moment.
