Rank the Top-4 teams that you'd be content or happy to have win the Cup. If your team is in the Playoffs then obviously it will be #1, but if it gets eliminated or isn't in the Playoffs, what would be your next preferred choices?

Then Rank the Bottom-4 teams that you truly don't want to win the Cup. #1 being the team that absolutely, definitely No!

Here's mine:

Top-4
1. Carolina
2. Ottawa
3. St. Louis
4. Brad Marchand :)

Bottom-4
1. Montreal
2. Edmonton
3. Vegas
4. Tampa Bay

Top-4
1. Colorado...Mackinnon and Makar
2. Edmonton...McDavid and Draisatl

3. Toronto....they are the Cubs of the nhl plus the best American goal scorer

4. Winnipeg ....best American goaltender

Bottom-4
1. Florida
....Sunrise lol
2. Tampa..... covid Champs
3. Washington....so annoying all year
4. Montreal.....worst team to make it...Columbus much better

Top 4:
Montreal
Washington
Edmonton
Winnipeg

Bottom 4
Leafs
Sens
Colorado
Vegas
So you're saying the Leafs and Sens will actually eliminate themselves from contending for the Stanley Cup, but somehow both the Caps and Habs get through?

Just letting you know that you're in luck. At least 2 of the teams on your list will be eliminateed after the first round.

Reread the topic.

Top 4:
Montreal (Patently)
Washington (Largely because of the "fraud" accusations and for the sake of legacy and storyline.)
Edmonton (Almost impossible, but desired for McJesus' sake.)
Colorado (Landeskog returning, going from cup to cup, would be brilliant, and I'd like to see Makar, and Mackinnon take home another cup.)

Bottom 4
Leafs
Tampa Bay
Dallas
Ottawa (Divisional rivalries, I guess, and my sentiments regarding Sens fans)

No they're saying which teams they like the most and least. It's not a prediction.

Top.
  1. Canes
  2. Kings
  3. Dallas
  4. Vegas
Bottom
  1. Devils (only because the Flames have their 1st, otherwise they'd be #2 in the other group.
  2. Panthers (moved up a couple spots because the Flames have their 1st)
  3. Oilers
  4. Leafs

Prior posters put thought into their answers by considering who is facing who etc.
... no they didn't. What are you talking about? Do you mean outside of this thread in which almost all the posts merely listed off the teams that the poster liked or disliked, and those that went beyond that simple response merely provided reasons as to why they liked or disliked a given team.

2 posts prior to the one they quoted, posted teh same top 4... but the Leafs fan criticizes the picks of the Habs fan, not the Caps fan... wonder why...

I mean the concept of reality where someone ranks Montreal and Washington 1st and 2nd, when they are playing each other in the first round...............

Thus, this thread is just "express your opinion about what teams you'd be ok with winning the cup, and then list who you'd hate to win a cup"

But then I'll get an infraction for being a jackass, even though I'm pointing out the obvious.

the reality is it's if "x" team doesn't win, they'd like "y" team to.

It's an extremely simple concept you are ignoring just to try and start shit with Habs fans.

I understand the concept of the topic, it just doesn't make any sense when you really think about it.

The topic might as well be "List the 4 teams you like, and the 4 teams you hate"

Simple as that.

That's all.
Well, I hate Florida, but I wish the best for Marchand. I also hate Winnipeg, but they've never won, whereas Vegas has already won too much for being just a recent addition to the League. Same kind of goes for Ottawa being ahead of St Louis. I'm not an Ottawa fan, but they've never won, whereas St Louis has one Cup.

Winnipeg
Tampa
Edmonton
Dallas

Toronto
Florida
Colorado
Idk wouldn’t mind any other team

1. Jets- They got a narrow window to compete. There D core are really well balanced, but I think there lack of a legit 2C will be there downfall
2. Carolina- Cool to see ol Burnsy win a cup and Taylor Hall. Think they got a pretty favorable run to the finals.
3. Toronto- Taveres Tanev and Reilly
4. Oilers- McDavid and Draisatl

All recent cup winners
13. Tampa
14. Colorado
15. Florida
16. Vegas

Habs
Wilds/Jets can't decide
Oilers

Bolts
Hurricanes
Sens
Knights

Top:
1. Edmonton
2. Winnipeg
3. Minnesota
4. Dallas

Bottom:
1. Vegas
2. St Louis
3. Los Angeles
4. New Jersey

“Prior posters put thought into their answers by considering who is facing who etc”

Other than the OP every post above mine did not take the playoff format into account . And I seriously mean not one other. You should reread them. They all have atleast one instance of two teams facing eachother that are grouped together (most of them 2!!!)

You have an issue with the thread not me.
