Everyone boo'd Bickel during the pre-game team introduction and he did not disappoint.
They were shouting "Stuuuuuu" but a boo would have been more appropriate.

Huh? He thinks it was a legal hit, and isn't whining about it, I see that as a plus.
For some reason, we keep getting pinned in our own zone and can't establish the forecheck. I think this is where we miss Dubi the most to be honest.
Stepan played in Finland and he hasn't looked very good.
Because Derek Stepan isn't a great hockey player. Below average skater, average to below average hands. I've been saying it for years about him.
They need one more scorer to put them over the top. Luckily next year the bottom six will improve.
The problem has and always will be since I've been a Rangers fan Pittsburgh. They've been the one thorn in this team's side the last 23 years.
One more scorer? The Rangers have Nash, Gaborik, Richards, Callahan, and Stepan in their top-6. That was the supposed 'problem' last year, and we added a consistent 30+ goal scorer. That isn't the issue. The issue is passing and setting up in the offensive zone.
If ANYTHING, they need a playmaking winger. That said, I think Hagelin can be that playmaker, and he showed that he was a pretty good set up winger last year, better than any of our other wingers except for Gaborik.

Sorry, I just don't see it. A playmaker? Hagelin doesn't have great hands, passing skill, or vision. He has great speed and relentlessness. But beyond that I don't see anything as of yet. Maybe it can emerge down the road.
But he hasn't shown it yet.
I think he showed it last year with Gaborik and Richards. He made plenty of nice passes. With him, though, it's more about getting the puck on the stick of his linemates quickly, and he does that while opening up space. His game leads to playmaking opportunities.

He hasn't looked horrible though. Just invisible.
Really, some of the posts on the forum are worse than the game the team played sans that awful 6 minute stretch after Hank got pulled.
I can't wait to see some of you on bandwagon after proclaiming us dead in the water.

Hagelin's passing in the last two games have led to turnovers, he should probably focus on playing a North-South game for the time being and keep things simple.
Stepan made a nice play on the PK which resulted in Nash's goal, but he has been a total non-factor at even strength. He could not accept a pass to save his life tonight. That line of Cally-Stepan-Gaborik is just a giant cluster**** of suck, they can't generate any offense together.
Don't worry, when he starts putting up points people will conveniently forget their brilliant predictions about his imminent decline.
