On normal teams, when a player skates away from the puck they usually take a second to puck gaze and figure where to go next. Not tampa. Their players know immediately where to go, making themselves available to trigger the next play

They skate their patterns, lanes, slots and rotations habitually. They don't need to think them at all. Defocus your eyes and you see a constant motion of white and blue

Sooo couple thoughts.
Tampa is the best team in the league by far. Man are they fast. No weakness. If they don’t win it will be a huge embarrassment for them. I haven’t seen us in a game look like boys against men. We did in that period.
PP1 is so good with DeAngelo on it. Kid will be a big time player for us if he gets those mins.
When are we going to stop pretending Neil Pionk is an nhler? He’s just not good enough strong enough smart enough. He’s bad really bad. It’s laughable that Brendan smith can’t play above him. Give me a break. This Pionk love affair is a major major problem. Why don’t the coaches see it? He should be in Hartford.
I liked Lemieux’s first period. That line was pretty good

Um, no? Are they not both stocky, bottom 6 energy guys that need work on defense, but can skate well and score goals? And they both have very good AHL numbers. But Lettieri’s scoring doesn’t translate to the NHL, which is why he’s a homeless man’s Lemieux.
