Great compete level. We have been a bit on the weak side along the boards etc. NJ is a pretty big team. But we are fighting hard and have some good players. NJ just isn't durable. I think they could bother any team in the league this time of the year, but I wonder if they can last 82 and if they do they are done after a series in the POs. Too old.
There saying it a lot cuz they know they won't be this high in the standings for a loooong time
most of us have been fans long enough to know that it is never over with this team. We're just enjoying what was a great 2nd period

I thought that Rangers defense in first period was bad but 2nd period Devils defense simply sucks.
Hmm, 2 goals by 4th line which doesnt score 40 games, hmm, another outdoor game. Just like Rupper did 2 years ago in Winter Classic. They know when to step up.

So tell me.. they showed the Yankees retired numbers and several numbers were retired twice by different players.. how does that work?
Players had the numbers before they started the custom of retiring numbers.

You realize we have two number 9s retired right?
Players wore the number in different eras and team didn't decide to retire them until much later.
Need to keep playing hard. In uncertain conditions like this anything can happen. Game is not over by any stretch.

Feels good, but as has been said, Devils can just as easily come out with the period we had in the second. This team has proven how bipolar it can be. Feeling secure and expecting nothing but good, but not counting my chickens just yet.

No, the game is not over, but no matter what the end result is, we managed to score 6 goals in two periods.

Also for Jackie Robinson they retired 42 but they didn't force anyone to change there number to someone like Marino Rivera had 42 before they retired the number so he wore it till he retired... then the Yankees retired that number.
