I lump in his USDP games with the USHL. I basically want them to focus more on picking out of the US pool. The kids are all good skaters and play a strong two-way game. I’d rather opt for them than overagers like we’ve been doing recently

I am more willing to give the coach the benefit of the doubt. But indeed, when players improve upon leaving said coach, it’s pretty damning.
But on the other hand, Grabner isn’t doing much for the Devils and Nash is doing basically what he usually did.
I think the other possibility is that’s JT needed a bucketful of water in the face. Maybe this was his wake up call.
