Hayes is a 30/30 guy if he wants to be. Shoot the puck and he beats goalies clean. Stepan couldn’t do that. Hayes can. If he wants to be a 30 goal guy he absolutely has it in him

AV does a lot wrong but not giving buchnevich more ice time when he’s the laziest guy on the rink night after night is not one of them. Go make a play. Be a difference maker for once.

Kid doesn’t work at all

I don’t know if he’s lazy but he needs to show more fight. Skill will only take a player so-far in the NHL. Need tonise legs and body position also. Every consistent NHL player always keeps their legs moving and has good body positioning. Adding skill is great and can put a player over-the-top. But skill alone doesn’t do it. Rinks too small. Opponents too fast.

That’s fair. But he’s not awful either. I think he’s a great fourth liner and a decent third liner.

I don’t know if he’s lazy but he needs to show more fight. Skill will only take a player so-far in the NHL. Need tonise legs and body position also. Yeah. If he is willing to fit into the cap structure as a fourth liner, That’s a no-brainer. But if he is asking for a second line contract, I’d stay away. But the way he plays I think he has upside. I wouldn’t blame him for “betting on himself”.
