Confirmed with Link: Rangers Re-Sign Justin Falk (1 year, $975K)

If you asked me 3 years ago if the Rangers would be able to re-sign everybody, I would have said you were crazy. We are not far from doing it.

I had him at 1 mil in my initial projections, figuring that was the max he would get. But if I had to pick a number, it would have been 925k, since we would be able to bury him with no cap penalties. Either way, it's fine. Hard to quibble over 50k.

He is soft as baby sh..!! He will have a tough time making this team. T'hats why the Wild dumped him.

So will Falk and Johnson be in the press-box? Or just one with the other in Hartford?

Because of McDs amazing cap hit, it allowed us to sign Hagelin and Falk for a little bit more while still allowing us to sign Zuccarello and Stepan to reasonable contracts. Based on my calculations we will have about 300,000 in cap room when both Hagelin and Callahan both come back.

Not a fan of this logic. I prefer...

Because of McDs amazing cap hit, it allowed us to extend Henrik Lundqvist.

haven't seen him play, but he did okay on a terrible Wild team.

he will throw some big hits, and take penalties... will fit in.. at least he uses his size... i with some of the other players that are around 6'4 or 6'7 that know how to use their size.

Nash is only slightly less physical than Falk and Boyle more so. If you expect a consistent physical presence, prepare to be disappointed unless Falk reinvents his game.

I really don't understand why people like players that take penalties. Understandably, some players that play on the edge take penalties. In general, penalties are bad. Most penalties that leave you shorthanded are dumb, lazy and careless penalties.

Under Torts reign it was better to take a penalty than to draw one. With the PP and all. Will see where it goes now. Unfortunately not being entirely sarcastic here...

My name is BB Kers and I approve of this message

I agree. Except that Lundqvist, Girardi, Brassard, Callahan, and del Zotto need to be re-signed after next year.

What do you think they will get? Lundqvist - 8-9M, Callahan 5+, Girardi 5+, del Zotto (trade?) or 4+, Brassard (depending on his season) 4+. That will be difficult.

I think you've just overpaid everyone on that list.
