What Makes a Prospect?

A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:

• If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.
• An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to the criteria above.
• European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.

NOTE: These are general guidelines and should be followed the majority of the time but certain players may still be listed as prospects if circumstances warrant.

For as long as I do that calendar, I'm just going to to do it for Tarnstrom as if he's full-time in Allsvenskan. He'll be up and down between the big club and the J20 club and there's no way to know when he's going to be in a J20 game instead of an Allsvenskan game or whatever. So unless he goes to the J20 for an extended period I will just operate as if he's in Allsvenskan.

Young kids are stupid. They are undisciplined. You have to watch what they do all the time. They are children at that age.

Until December 15 is the key in this message. A place to get reps before the NHL camps start. Clearly he’s in the mix to be on the Rangers varsity roster when the season starts.

It was 18 cases but only 1 of the 18 even had symptoms. The rest were asymmetric. Thankfully it must be a very mild strain of it so hopefully most test negative for it quickly before it spread.

Yup the guy getting crushed behind Ole Ass now is 4-0 with a 0.50 GAA and .980 SV%. That's interesting, I have no idea if it's because he's really good or just lucky, but Ole Ass has gotten the majority of the play go to this point, but this may cut into that.

I thought Edström was in the final game of his suspension but he did play as the extra forward and a shot and three hits in about nine minutes.

Tarmo had a goal and played 24:33. He should post huge numbers in Mestis.

Rykov had an assist in 17:06.

Själin was scoreless and I think -1.
