How about Mcilrath in the top 3 for 3 years of polls?

Mcilrath
Gropp
Day

Who's the 4th in the mount Rushmore of horrible Nyr draft picks in these polls?

Danny Kristo? EDIT: Wasn't a Rangers draft pick, let's go with Christian Thomas lol

Going with Lias, add Georgie

Would be good to see a list of prospects eligible to be added

Kristo is a good one, I believe he made the top 5 prospects on at least one poll while he was here.... Grachev might have him beat

Add Georgiev, probably the most difficult guy to try and rank on this whole list.

I have Crawley, Lindgren, and Reunanen all around equal in my head right now for our mid-tier blueliner prospects, and Crawley was the first who came to mind.

I don't really rate Georgiev highly, but am open to being proven wrong.

I'm very surprised that a lot of people aren't considering Lias vs. Miller to be a close call.

We talk about Miller becoming a top pairing defenseman like it's a pipe dream, but the guy is putting up historic numbers right now. Over the same 15 year time span which Miller has himself planted currently in 3rd among defensemen P/GP in a season for his league, Lias was 17th in his; among only U19 players who played at least 10 games.

Lias obviously advanced to more difficult competition at an earlier age, but he's also been playing the same position his entire life. The NCAA has been pumping out strong defensemen at an unparalleled rate over the last decade or so as well; Miller isn't beating up on undersized junior players.

This is not an easy call either way. If we had the exact same deal on the table at the TDL or the draft, and Gorton had to choose between including Lias or including Miller, I sincerely doubt that he would just auto-dump Miller.

Voted for Miller. He is the only one left that has reasonable top pairing/top line potential. Still a long way to go, even with his amazing start at Wisconsin, but those are the types of players that are way harder to find than potential middle 6/pairing guys.

And then Keane below those three? Keane and Reunanen are definitely above Crawley for me

Yeah, I'm not fully on the Keane bandwagon yet, but he's way ahead of Crawley for me. I think Crawley is...not very good, and his numbers this year are misleading. After watching him last year I actually thought he'd see some time in the ECHL this year.

Crawley's offensive numbers aren't the reason why I think he will eventually make the NHL. He plays a nice physical game and his skating is actually pretty good. He's 21, will soon be 22. I would say he needs at least another year in the AHL but I think he has an outside chance and gets shit on unnecessarily.

Maybe so. I agree, his offense won't have anything to do with him making the NHL; I'd be really surprised if he managed to keep up this kind of production. It's the defense, though. I don't think it's great. He is an okay skater but sometimes he looks like a turnstile and others he's just floating around in the corner when shit is going down in front. I mean he's young so it can all be improved; I just don't see any single skill that looks NHL-level, or particularly close, to me.

I could be wrong though. I made similar assessments of Girardi back in the day. I've been known to be wrong from time to time.

I mean don't get me wrong, he's still got a ways to go, but I think it's just a matter of him understanding his positioning a bit better.

If it’s any consolation, Reedy is doing nothing at the U.
