Crazy how a 2012 draft pick is on the list but somehow under the criteria and him playing in the NCAA he was still eligible.

Meskanen. I am not convinced Lettieri is more than a 4A player and I think Meskanen may have a bit more upside and is more dynamic than Gettinger.

Add Själin, who I think people are sleeping on because he only got healthy a couple weeks ago.

I always thought the HF criteria was somewhat flawed, but since it provides something to go by--something objective year over year--I was okay with it.

gotta avoid a bias against kids who play NCAA,
there is growing trend of schools having kids play lower junior until they are 20 before enrolling

at least Hughes will start NE at 19

was looking at a kid Jets drafted in 2018 - Nathan Smith -
an Oct 1998, wont enroll at Mankato until next season,
so he will be 21 when freshman season starts and if he plays 4 years turning 25 early in his first pro season (even older if inury or red-shirt costs him a season)

Nathan Smith at eliteprospects.com

(FYI so far EP seems the easiest place to find out where kids currently playing lower junior intend to play NCAA)

Yeah I understand it. I just thought it would be more simple to do it like ELCs--depending on your age your ELC is a certain length. The application here is that depending on your age at signing, you'd be a prospect for that long.

Sign at 18, 19, or 20: eligible 4 years
20 or 21: 3 years
21 or 22: 2 years
23 or 24: 1 year

Or something like that. I just think it's kind of silly that Fogarty is considered a prospect all the same as Kravtsov. I'm not suggesting my proposal wouldn't have flaws or quirks or whatever, I just felt HF's system was a bit over-thought.
