It's Othmann. Did everything asked of him and more this season. Has top 6 upside and has more to his game than scoring. Kravtsov is next.

Add Garand. Same situation as Othmann. Did everything you could have asked for and more.

I went Othmann.

Still don’t understand the Kravtsov obession. He hasn’t even shown he can produce like top 6 guy in the KHL and people here are ready to put him in our top 6 tomorrow. I truly don’t see him ever carving out a career in NA. Seems like he will always want top 6 minutes wherever he goes and he isn’t good enough for them
Huh? He produced very well in the KHL.

I went Othmann, still not sure Kravstov has his head on straight. If no character issues this would easily be Kravstov.

Went Othmann. While Krav (at what 4 years older?) has a greater chance of making an impact this year I think Othman in his time will bring more to the table even if Krav scores more. I think Orhmann’s grit, compete and intangibles in a top six player are huge. I feel he will be a more impactful player on this team.
I would not mind being proven wrong by Krav being better than I think Othman will be of course. I’d welcome it.
Add Cullye.

People underrate VK because they’re mad at him. Or because they are preparing themselves to watch him blossom elsewhere.

Edit: autocorrect turned “blossom” into “moose on”. Wut.
I think people--rightly or wrongly--have reached conclusions about his character and work ethic (and in turn how he will handle future adversity) based on his past actions and factor that into whether they think he will make it in the NHL.

Yeah, I’m not “mad” at him at all.
Do I think he has handled adversity well in the past? NOPE.
Do I hope he’s matured? YEP.
Would I bet on it? Nope.
I think he has high end skill that hasn’t translated in NA. It may, it may not. I think he will be a solid O contributor that backchecks well, but he’s a question mark to just about everyone but Jovo.

So really what your touting is that he’s a gifted goal scorer? He’s had 51 goals in his past 204 games. 92 points in 204 games.

Nikita Gusev had 42 goals in 200 games during the same span as Kravtsov. And also put up 116 points.

I don’t know what you are trying to do here. He isnt a superstar. Thank lord you arent on twitter like StatBoy nit picking stats to give our fans unrealistic hope.
Gusev is 8 years older than Kravtsov. Such a weird comparison.

Waffled between Kravtsov and Othmann here, but ultimately chose the former.

Add Garand.

VK has the tools to be a dynamic player who can both create and finish. Othmann, while a great finisher, will need to ride shotgun to a more skilled playmaker.

VK rightfully gets some points deducted due to character/commitment concerns, but only enough to drop him from 1 to 2 in this poll, IMO.

Our Top-15 prospects are (IMO):
1. Schneider
2. Kravtsov
3. Othmann
4. Jones
5. Lundkvist
6. Berard
7. Garand
8. Cuylle
9. Sykora
10. McConnell-Barker
11. Robertson
12. Korczak
13. Ollas
14. Skinner
15. Edstrom

For clarification are we ranking them for NHL readiness or for where they will finally fit on the roster ?

Everyone basically uses their own methodology. Could be based on readiness, upside, likelihood of hitting that upside, organizational need, or just which guy they generally "prefer"--or something else entirely. When Bacon used to do these, IIRC, they tried to dictate how people should evaluate and vote, and that was not well-received.

Don't forget that you have to factor in the probability of using steroids in the offseason to put on muscle mass because we all know that it's literally impossible for professional athletes with professional training staffs to do so otherwise.

Who's the better 'prospect'?

Who would get more in a trade? Othmann or Kravtsov?
Good to differentiate.

Kravstov already has too many complications. It’s too early for so much smoke. It may still work out for him, here or elsewhere, but there’s too much baggage, too soon. (And far too many tiktok videos of him posing like a designer-wanna be twat). He’s super immature. It’s early, but it gets late early.

PS - At 8am, I blurry eyed clicked on Kravtsov.
