Huh? He produced very well in the KHL.I went Othmann.
Still don’t understand the Kravtsov obession. He hasn’t even shown he can produce like top 6 guy in the KHL and people here are ready to put him in our top 6 tomorrow. I truly don’t see him ever carving out a career in NA. Seems like he will always want top 6 minutes wherever he goes and he isn’t good enough for them
I think people--rightly or wrongly--have reached conclusions about his character and work ethic (and in turn how he will handle future adversity) based on his past actions and factor that into whether they think he will make it in the NHL.People underrate VK because they’re mad at him. Or because they are preparing themselves to watch him blossom elsewhere.
Edit: autocorrect turned “blossom” into “moose on”. Wut.
Yeah, I’m not “mad” at him at all.I think people--rightly or wrongly--have reached conclusions about his character and work ethic (and in turn how he will handle future adversity) based on his past actions and factor that into whether they think he will make it in the NHL.
A top 6 guy in the KHL…like you typed.Compared to who?
His production ranges in the 90-132 range of top 6 players in the KHL. For someone thats apparently supposed to come to the NHL next year and be perfectly fine in a top 6 role, I have my doubtsA top 6 guy in the KHL…like you typed.
Gusev is 8 years older than Kravtsov. Such a weird comparison. So really what your touting is that he’s a gifted goal scorer? He’s had 51 goals in his past 204 games. 92 points in 204 games.
Nikita Gusev had 42 goals in 200 games during the same span as Kravtsov. And also put up 116 points.
I don’t know what you are trying to do here. He isnt a superstar. Thank lord you arent on twitter like StatBoy nit picking stats to give our fans unrealistic hope.
I was comparing their draft year - 22 year old years in which they both played majority in the KHL. Give me another comp?Gusev is 8 years older than Kravtsov. Such a weird comparison.
Easily Othmann, without question. Teams would question Kravstov's mindset and commitment to the NHL. As I did when voting in this poll.Who's the better 'prospect'?
Who would get more in a trade? Othmann or Kravtsov?
Everyone basically uses their own methodology. Could be based on readiness, upside, likelihood of hitting that upside, organizational need, or just which guy they generally "prefer"--or something else entirely. When Bacon used to do these, IIRC, they tried to dictate how people should evaluate and vote, and that was not well-received.For clarification are we ranking them for NHL readiness or for where they will finally fit on the roster ?
Don't forget that you have to factor in the probability of using steroids in the offseason to put on muscle mass because we all know that it's literally impossible for professional athletes with professional training staffs to do so otherwise.Everyone basically uses their own methodology. Good to differentiate.Who's the better 'prospect'?
