Shestyorkin has elite goalie potential and has dominated the KHL the last few years.

True, but he’s still a goalie. And he played on a stacked team in a league that doesn’t have much parity. And he didn’t face many shots. Also, it’s harder to translate KHL performance to the NHL for goalies than other positions.
