You people disrespect Jake Elmer like he isnt about to be your top AHL winger next season

I need to see him with my own eyes again before I believe the numbers.

When he was here, he was just an average AJHL forward. I have a very difficult time reconciling that with the NHL prospect that he's now viewed as.

He's basically this year's Dawson Leedahl

Jake played 5 games in Hartford the end of the year--had two goals and two assists. He's got good wheels and good hands. He showed a lot of finishing ability---scoring something like 19 games in a row. I don't know if he's going to be an NHL'er but I'm pretty sure he's going to turn into a better player than Dawson Leedahl. Personally I have more hopes in him than Meskanen who is a pretty decent player himself.

Small sample sizes and playing with an elite prospect in junior hockey... Gropp, Leedahl and now Elmer. I'm very cautious with my expectations

Leedahl's got like 2 goals and 6 assists in 67 AHL games and is now 23 years old--maybe even 24. Elmer matched his goals and half his point totals in 5 games coming right out of the WHL and hey that end of the year Hartford team was putrid even by its own really piss poor standards. Just saying. No it's not Liiga or the SHL but for his age he was pretty much playing in the highest league he could. I think he also led the league in shorthanded goals. Any case we're at the WTF stage of our hockey rankings--I mean twenty-f***ing-six---like I don't think Pajuniemi or Day have a big shot at the NHL either. You get out this far chances are you're not going to have a long NHL career.

So did Ty Ronning...

O/U 10 NHL career games for Elmer. That's the level of irrelevance we're at. And that's more than okay, at 26.

Add Jean Yves Roy.

Edstrom should have already been picked and still isn't even an option so obviously all of your lists suck and are wrong :naughty:

Just looking at this list, we could use another center prospect. We have all mostly defense and wingers.

Obviously BPA is the way to go, but targeting 2-3 centers as prospects from trades or draft picks the next 12 months will be critical for this team. Having someone that could come in a be a center on an ELC when this team should be contending could really help put us over the top
