FINAL BONUS ROUND. Now before we get the posters who are up in arms why Brendan Lemieux is on here...he missed the cut off by just 7 games. With a stacked Jets roster he was barely given a shot at the NHL and when he did it was with very limited minutes on the 4th line. Former 31st overall pick. He will not be added to the official list. He will be placed by the average of his votes, not necessarily which choice got the most votes.

I was a huge fan of Lemiuex when I saw him playing for us the final few months. Guy brings a rare element of toughness, grit, and skill. I think he could very easily end up being a VERY effective 3rd line player for a long time who might be able to play a 2nd line role if he continues developing more offense.

I'd rank him after Howden and before Hajek as #9 ( I know this is getting a bit confusing now haha)

This team desperately needed a player like Lemieux. This team has always started slow. I blame the crowd at MSG, where the suits filter in on their own time, half of them don't even care about the game. You need someone to light the fuse. Get the crowds attention and get them into the game. This would be my strategy at home games going forward. Make it so they come out flying, and people can't help but get into the game right away. Lemieux is one of these guys. He can't do it all himself, but we are a better team when we have these type of guys.

I don't think Lemieux has 20 goal potential, but he does have all the makings of a very solid bottom 6 guy. I'd like to see him learn to play the PK more often.

Would be right behind Rykov for me, so 13th. He's a lower ceiling player than Barron, Tarmo, and Robertson, but he has a pretty good chance to get there.

Eventually becomes a 3rd line player that could slide onto the 2nd line if you need it.

Confused. If I think he’d go after Barron who’s 13th and plus two other graduates in Chytil and Howden I’d rank him 16 but I don’t see it. What am I missing?

Maybe 1-2% would vote that low. Sorry can't have every choice on there.

I'm acutally a bit confused how you can see a sure fire NHLer, who could potentially be a decent 3rd liner..is behind a couple of players who might not sniff the NHL?

Do y'all think he has Tom Wilson potential?

Brendan Lemieux is pretty tough--a pretty heavy hitter and good at chucking the knuckles but he's not the same physical force as Tom Wilson--either in the hitting game or the fighting game. Wilson is a bigger hitter and a better fighter--he's also got reach and more experience at it. I would point out Lemieux's fight with Ben Harpur last year--he did okay hanging with the guy but Harpur's pretty much in the same league as Wilson.

An issue for Lemieux after he came over was keeping up the pace--his stamina wasn't great and partly because he needs to work on his lower body more than his upper body. He more or less said so several times--Winnipeg wanted him heavier than the Rangers but Winnipeg was using him pretty much as a 4th line low minutes banger--the Rangers want more out of him that that but if he's going to become a consistent 30-35 point 3rd liner he's going to need to be a leaner meaner fighting machine.

That was part of the discussion about him anyway and I guess it remains to be seen what kind of shape he's going to be when he shows up in September but I'm thinking he's going to be leaner and he's going to have worked on getting his stamina up.
