i dunno .. add Boyko or Ollas, Edstrom or Pajuniemi

Boyko
Edström
Kempf
Laba
Lamb
Mancini
Ollas
Rempe

Those are the guys left that I find interesting. Someone like Pajuniemi is more accomplished than some of those guys ever will be, but he's entering "I've seen enough" territory where I feel like I have a pretty good grip on what he is.

Emberson (although I'm not sure who is better, Emberson or Scanlin). Add Paju.

Not that we have a ton of people that watch Hartford, but most seem to prefer Scanlin on upside. I understand that as (despite the numbers) his two-way game is more advanced, but I still prefer Emberson. He reminds me of a Dan Girardi, another guy who excelled defensively but outside of that didn't really have many noteworthy skills. Just a meat-and-potatoes defender who got the job done. Emberson reminds me of that. He even kind of looks like Girardi out there, similar build, RH shot, etc. Blocks shots, plays a solid physical game but doesn't go hunting for hits.

just a comment - its incredibly challenging to evaluate NCAA freshman

Laba putting up decent numbers, .0.5 pts/GP, but also ice-time is easier to come by, on a lower profile team, where he is the only drafted skater

Lamb not putting up much numbers, but I find it very encouraging he's dressed for 27, of 28, games, for a high-profile team with 14 NHL draft picks

Yeah, hard to evaluate and compare. Laba I think has look objectively good when I've watched him. Making the WJC team, even as a spare, was also a nice accomplishment and shows that his play this season is being viewed positively by talent evaluators. Lamb is also having a pretty good season--the numbers aren't impressive, but as you said, he's playing every day on a loaded team--they have a bunch of top picks and are loaded with picks in general, plus some upper classmen, so which basically forces a guy like Lamb into a third/fourth line role. I don't have a good read on what he is, but I'm actually more optimistic now than I was after his prior season in the USHL.
