C Lias Andersson won round 3. G Adam Huska is added to the poll.

RULES CHANGE:

Since HF no longer functions beyond the forum, no reason to have their old rules. We do, however, need the same rules for everyone or else the rankings mean nothing.

SKATER PROSPECT: A player 24 or younger with 50 or fewer NHL games.

GOALIE PROSPECT: A player 25 or younger with 25 or fewer NHL games.

EXCEPTION 1: If a player completed the required 50/25 games, but is still not regarded as an NHL regular because he's shuffling between the NHL and the AHL, he could still be a prospect as long as he's 24 or younger and if agreed upon by most people here.

EXCEPTION 2: A player who is no older than 25 years old at the time of the vote and is a borderline NHLer could still count if agreed upon by most people here.

Please vote on who to add to the next round of polling.

I think if DeAngelo gets drafted by us, he would've gone #1 or #2 overall in this poll.

Hoping this kid can be the new PP QB.

Went with ADA because I hope he's worth more than a later first round pick (Chytil) because otherwise the Stepan trade was pretty bad.

Add Nieves.

We drafted a dman a few years back at #10, he was always ranked high in every one of these polls. How'd that work out for ya ?

I'm trying to figure out how that's relevant in any way.

Is your point...

1) That prospect rankings don't matter?
2) That NYR defensive prospects are doomed to fail?
3) That DeAngelo will do better because he wasn't drafted by NYR?
4) That DeAngelo shouldn't be ranked high because he might turn into McIlrath?

Help me interpret this comment.

interesting to me that Huska is in top 6, ahead of Wall,
who had seemingly had a better freshman season
( ... but yes Wall was on a better team ...

I've made my own prospect rankings list and the goalies come out this way.

3. Shesterkin
11. Wall
15. Huska
16. Halverson
24. Nell

The way I look at it Wall, Huska and Halverson are all close but.....Wall had the best season of all of them last year.

Huska was up for the Hobey Baker this year, though. Shesterkin and Huska should be top 10, Wall just outside of that along with Nell. He is really good, have him over Halverson, currently. All of them should be top 20, however. Best position in the organization!!

It would be interesting to see how you'd rank everyone. To me the Rangers have gotten very much deeper in the last few months. The additions of 1st round centers Andersson and Chytil--the acquisition of DeAngelo and a number of great signings particularly Bereglazov and Pionk. Our goaltending was very good to begin with--now we have two great new centers and 3 great new additions on D and those positions IMO look a lot stronger to me. I also think that Day had a very good year and pushed himself into the picture.
