LW Ryan Gropp won round 12. C Dominik Lakatos is added to the poll.

RULES CHANGE:

Since HF no longer functions beyond the forum, no reason to have their old rules. We do, however, need the same rules for everyone or else the rankings mean nothing.

SKATER PROSPECT: A player 24 or younger with 50 or fewer NHL games.

GOALIE PROSPECT: A player 25 or younger with 25 or fewer NHL games.

EXCEPTION 1: If a player completed the required 50/25 games, but is still not regarded as an NHL regular because he's shuffling between the NHL and the AHL, he could still be a prospect as long as he's 24 or younger and if agreed upon by most people here.

EXCEPTION 2: A player who is no older than 25 years old at the time of the vote and is a borderline NHLer could still count if agreed upon by most people here.

Please vote on who to add to the next round of polling.

Has to be Wall here.

Add Brandon Crawley because he was just taken in the 4th round.

Zborovskiy, add Sjalin.

PB, genuinely curious, what do you consider a realistic ceiling for Zbor? Please don't get up in arms or defensive, I simply want to know where you picture him if he reaches his potential. I read comparisons to a young Marc Staal earlier in the season, but the player I seen at the WJCs never lived up to that comparison, and I'm not sold on his stat line being more than a result of his circumstances.

I think I started the young Marc Staal comparison. Something around that. Young Marc Staal was actually projecting as an actual two-way D with offense and nice mobility, crazy for what we now expect out of Staal . There were definitely a good chance Staal could've been a 1D or 2D at some point, so maybe the defensive side of a young Marc Staal with a grade less mobility, puck moving, offense, but what people portray, I just don't believe to be true.

He's made plays with his skating that I've seen that current Marc Staal could never make. I've seen him skate behind the net with the puck, and evade forecheckers, sometimes multiple with purely his skating a number of times. I've seen him carry the puck into the zone, all the way behind the net and back towards the blue line, and then set up good scoring chances. He regularly brings the puck up ice, and carries it into the zone. And some of these are against bad competition in the WHL, thats understandable, I don't expect him to be Parayko, but the skaters in that league are not so bad that a pure plug level NHL player could do this against them. He is not what people portray. I think some are going off bad information, whether thats what they've gathered themselves or what they've read. I think its incredibly unfair, and all too expected. But whatever, what fans think doesn't matter. Players will prove themselves or they won't. That'll be decided by them.

Wall.

Tempted to agree with Bluenote due to Reunanen's upside prior to his draft year, followed by time lost to injury, but really need to see him put his game back together to show he's back on track before that makes sense. He could shoot up the charts in our next poll if he does; but at this point he could also be a guy who just had his progress completely derailed.

Add Lettieri. Gotta believe there's a reason management signed him to the max contract, when guys like Leedahl and Pedrie they were able to get for less...

Wall, add Barron.

Amazing how adding Andersson, DeAngelo, and Chytl really fleshed out our prospects list. Decent prospects (Wall, Zboro, Gettinger) falling in around the #15 mark.

Question is come midseason how we'll look knowing more about this year's draft picks and with Buchnevich, DeAngelo and possibly Bereglazov graduating.

Wall.

Can be almost easy to overlook when you see of the other goalie prospects in the system, but there's some very nice potential there.
