Was either Othmann or Schneider for me. Probably should have gone Schneider, went Othmann.

Add Garand.

Curious how people who have watched this season to date would vote Lundkvist. He doesn't do anything out there.

Schneider, add Cuylle

Kravtsov isn’t going to get a fair vote so the list isn’t going to look right, so I am just going to abstain from voting him from on out.

I would not have voted Nils for #1. I don’t think there is anything particularly wrong with him but his ceiling certainly looks lower than it did last year. Not going to reward him for that.

He's a tough vote for a lot of people. On pure talent he's definitely #1 or #2, but I have real questions about whether he truly has the desire to work on translating that skill to the NHL. I'm not trying to be unfair to him, but for me that's a really major issue. I have him 4 or 5 on my own list only because of that.

How has the other players listed done in the NHL this year? Have they been holding their own as a rookie like him?

Critics of Nils Lundkvist see him as the next David Rundblad, but I think it's way too early to make that critique.

A lot of how he progresses in the NHL game will depend on how coachable he is- he'll have to make some adjustments to his style to succeed the way so many other players we've watched over the years (Boyle, Hagelin, Kreider, Stralman). All players had to make huge adjustments to become successful NHL players.
