What does Othmann do, on the ice, better than Kravtsov?

Othmann is still incredible boom/bust. He is a worse skater than Lafreniere who may or may not be able to keep up at this level. I’d move Othmann while his stock is high.

What does Othmann do better? Pretty much everything except skate I guess. Hahaha. (Though I think he LOOKS worse of a skater than he is.) Especially compete though, he is literally carrying his team. Like I said, I'm not looking to knock VK, I just think at this point Othmann is a better prospect and I can't wait to see what he is doing in his D+3 year, where Kravtsov is right now. And I hope VK has a fantastic D+4 year, preferably with the NYR.
I guess where we differ is you think he will bust, I think he is booming. Guess we shall see.

The thing for me is, he put up PPG numbers on his team D-2, absolutely crushed it, and nobody was even close to him on points that season. That was 2 years ago and he still putting up PPG numbers (slightly above, but much better players around him). I'm sure his defense is better and tangibles but I would expect a player who dominated 2 years prior to his draft year to be dominating a bit more than he is now. Which is why it's hard for me to be on board that he is having a very impressive D +1.


Granted this is all going by stat watching only.

What impresses me is the way he plays, aside from the production. Jagger Firkus is a kid that benefits from playing with Korcak a lot. I didn't expect this from him to be honest. For a 3rd round pick, he's doing exactly what I was hoping he would. If he keeps this up, some AHL time next season would be a logical step.
