I'm mind blow how so many people soured on KAM. crazy.

That last month of the season really tanked people's opinions of K'Andre huh

I voted Lundkist, Kravtsov, and would follow up with Key.

I don't think it's either "soured," or "tanked." I see that as a very tight cluster, where they are all in the same tier and it would become pedantic semantics to really worry about the difference between 2 & 4 on this list. Most teams are lucky to have one of these guys, and we have three...FOLLOWING Laf. It's an embarrassment of riches. Pick one of these guys, plus a random 1st rounder this year, and that's what 1 & 2 looks like on most teams.

I feel bad for all of the Kravtsov voters last round because it's just gonna happen again. But then again, there is really no wrong answer in this group of three. We should just move straight to #5 at this rate.

He jumps out of the gate and they're ready to pin him to the first pair for the next 10 years. He (expectedly) struggles and he slides down.

Miller is going to be a work-in-progress for while. A tantalizing work-in-progress, but a work-in-progress nonetheless.

Having said that, IMO Lundkvist, Miller and Kravtov are a toss-up. You can make a case for any one of them.

Precisely where the NHL experience differentiates, IMO.

We've seen what KAM can do in the NHL against the absolute best... I don't believe Lundkvist has that potential ( maybe I'm wrong ) To be fair I don't know that many players that have KAMs potential...

Lundkvist does have higher lows though to go along with the lower highs.

IMO Miller showed enough last year to be clearly above the other two, at least at this point. Floor is likely a big, mobile, defensively responsible top 4 defenseman. Even if he doesn’t generate a ton of offense or become a top pairing guy, look at what guys like that go for in trades. In comparison, similar quality wingers or smaller puck moving defenseman are just not worth as much

Miller came out like gangbusters, hit a snag, adjusted and again played at a high level, then kind of hit the wall.

It's tough for NCAA guys to make the jump straight away, since they're used to playing weekend series with minimal travel. 1-2 games each weekend. Sometimes no games for the week, meaning no games for basically two weeks. Lots of practice, gym time, and of course--some school. So it's really hard to go from that cadence of games to one where you're playing any given day of the week, going out on road trips for a whole week or more, and so on.

Going to the AHL for a year helps. You still get your weekend games but you also get more weekday games and more games in general. It's more of an NHL schedule with NHL routines. When you don't have that and have to adjust from the NCAA schedule to the NHL schedule overnight, it's really tough. You hit the wall.

Love Kravtsov but Miller's ceiling (through the many glimpses he showed early in 20-21) is tantalizing.

As far as whom to add I think a lot of us are sleeping on Pajuniemi. Not taking anything away from Berard who had a great post-draft showing in his own right, but Paju has been a consistently improving PRO over the last few seasons and if his offense translates - his ceiling is a lot higher than Berard's.

Agreed.

I would probably have Miller the highest because he's competing in the NHL and, overall, has done a damn fine job. So for me, I'll take the real-world accomplishments over the theoretical.

For me, Lundkvist has always been the steadiest of the three. It's not to say he doesn't have great potential, I just don't know if Lundkvist firing on cylinders is quite the game-changer that Miller or Kravtsov is. But because of his attributes, he's also the guy who could quietly have the longer, more consistent career.

Kravtsov to me did just about everything you could ask him to do last season. He's overshadowed by Lafreniere and Kakko, but he's a legit top-six, change the course of a game type player.
