I thought this would be an easy one for Kravtsov since I saw his flashes in the NHL. Makes me even more excited for Nils.
Im not as bearish as you but am probably somewhere in between the two camps. I thought Miller was great his first 5-10 games but then was "eh" most of the season. He's young, raw, and has potential to improve greatly, but I wasnt wowed by any means. I say that recognizing he has limited experience playing D.At this time next season, I believe that those who currently have Miller above Lundqvist will have reversed their positions.
I also beleve that Miller is their most overrated prospect and I realize I'm on a lonely island in that belief.
Hoping I'm wrong because if he's as good as some of you believe, the Rangers are a lock to make the playoffs and once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen.
Well it’s clearly Miller we already saw what he can do at this level and the upside is absurd. He really shouldn’t be on this list at all at this point
then I’d say Lundkvist then kravtsov
Showing you can succeed at the the NHL level at the NHL level is different than showing you're ready for the NHL based on your play somewhere else. If you think that the upside is similar, I think it's logical to the defer to the guy who has actually done it in the NHL. The circumstances preventing the other guy from having that same opportunity don't change anything. It's a different story if you think Lundkvist is head and shoulders above Miller in terms of upside.By this logic, Jones would be ahead of Schneider but I doubt anyone will vote that way.
Not saying Miller isn't in the running for this spot, but the only reason Lundkvist wasn't a Ranger last season was a global pandemic interferring with his plans.
