My observation is this...

When KAM is paired with Trouba, he constantly defers to the veteran and gives him the puck. When paired with Schneider, he seems to be way more confident.

I am far from a fan of his but I don't want him to fail. But I have to give him credit when he is due.

Even beyond just playing physical. In his last couple of shifts, Tro had the hit, sprawled out to try and maintain possession in the offensive zone, and had that gorgeous assist. Zib seemingly doesn't want to do ANYTHING other than trying to dink around to look for a perfect highlight play. He was always a bit of a PP specialist, but he's not even doing much on the PP these days.

Even his stats in the NCAA were dogshit. Many NHL defensive d-men actually produced decent NCAA numbers. Not Lindgren.
