Georgiev needs to work on his positioning. Marino's goal wasn't bad per se but if he would've positioned himself like he should've he probably would've saved it.

Lindgren had a rough game.

A couple of things:

3. I’ll continue to repeat this - where the F is our $10M superstar? What the f*** is going on with him? The silence of deafening.

I gather he is trying to secure safe passage for his grandparents who raised him. And I'll bet the Kremlin is making it difficult for them to leave.

Straight faced? Do you really believe in this? One can never be sure whether it's sarcasm on the Internet

Rangers were taken to school. I had said against Boston, the Rangers would have a winning season because they are playing good D. And then we promptly won the next 3 out of 4. Well tonight the Pens,... put on a defensive clinic. They did not allow the Rangers to carry it across the blueline. And when the Rangers tried to dump and chase, the Pens healthy D-men moved the puck so quickly, we couldn't pressure them. We couldn't force them to turn the puck over. The Pens played an excellent game. Gotta give them credit. We need to move pass this game and continue our fine play.

New management in Hextall and Burkie and getting healthy has helped inject some confidence back into that lineup.

Maybe Quinn stops this dumb rotation now, once Shesty is back. Hopefully he's back sooner than later... ALONG with Panarin. WTF is he doing at this point.

We forgot how to play hockey. We couldn't adjust. If a team see's what we're doing and takes it away, we will STILL continue to try to do it... We have ZERO ADJUST. We won no puck battles and kept forcing plays.

The 1st bad goal destroyed us. We are weak mentally. 2nd goal was Miller looking rough, still Georgie looked like he had a involuntary arm spasm on the play. 3rd goal Georgie not in position again... can't make ONE save for the team? Game over, after playing a great 1st period up to that point.

What does Quinn do? LETS PLAY LINE SCRABBLE! that should fix it... IT NEVER DOES

Our PP took out our goalie last game. Our PP was the beginning of the end this game. HOW ABOUT WE FIX THE FUKIN PP

Well, I enjoyed the start of the game for however long that lasted. You need a save from your goalie. 1st goal was played very poorly. 2nd goal, left out to dry. 3rd goal - Ok, a superstar broke through the middle. You still need to get a big save every now and then or the game is over before you can even settle down.

With that said, despite the 1st goal swinging momentum to Pittsburgh, 3 goals in 61 seconds is on more than just the goalie.

Very much my thoughts also.
Also not one of them was disastrous, like from a beer league goalie or something. He didn't save our asses when needed, that's it. Certainly not a top performance.

Going with trying to keep his family safe in a country that is ruled by a dictator for 100 Alex.

Given that a healthy Shesterkin started in 70% of the games, can you show me where the dumb rotation is?

Panarin? Hmm....unless you have essentially been threatened by a dictator who has been know to "remove" his opponents and currently have family living in said dictator's country, you probably have no idea of WTF is going on with him inside.

In a game like last night, what do you propose he does? 3 of his top-4 defensemen had an awful night. The odd man rushes were pretty to watch, weren't they?

Were fixing it that easy, it would have already been done.

Im not sure how not playing hockey helps him in that endeavor, whatever is happening from here I'm sure he has little to do with its implementation. The only thing i could see is if the US has him under protection or something.

With him being threatened and his family residing in the counter of the perpetrator, one would think that his mind is not really in the game.

For whatever reason, when we play better teams we find it nearly impossible to establish a consistent forecheck. I don't know if it's because our young guys aren't strong enough or there's some system or method to our forecheck that isn't working. We just can't seem to forecheck in sync as three man units. In these tighter games against older teams you simply can't win if you can't create off the forecheck and cycle. Nevermind what will happen in a playoff series. I'd love it if someone more knowledgeable could break down why our forecheck is broken so easily while other teams thrive in this capacity.

Alex gave up two in the last game against the Devils and one against the Pens that he kind of f***ed up but the Rangers were losing last night anyway. We made it way too easy on DeSmith and our D apart from the PK did not play especially well last night and Miller for one had a rough night and our top pair Fox and Lindgren got burned real good on Crosby's goal. So yeah the goaltending could have been better but the defense and offense could have been better too.

I see all the Georgy hate, but Pittsburgh was parting the D like Moses all night. He could have saved at least one of those, to keep it a one goal game, and the D was not helping him. As good as Kinkaid was he still gave up two and he made some great saves also. The D is more to blame, and the offense turning into a pumpkin. It was a back to back game, so really can't get that upset. Tomorrow they need to come out flying and play hard, win or lose.

Welcome back to reality fellow Rangers fans. I am going to continue to try offer my non-overeacting viewpoint here.

While we obviously hope for more, the game wasn't unpredictable given we are playing with our BACKUP goalie and without our best player. This team is pretty much what we have right now... we will be 5th in the division because we are only better than Buffalo and NJ. That said... we will continue to get better and our ceiling is 1st in the division.

you're exhausting.

Georgiev started 4 out of the last 10. That's not a backup. That's near split-duties.

Yes, jumble lines cant be your 'go-to' move when you need to make adjustments.

It is that easy. They did it in the first game against Boston. Our PP coach is incompetent.

A Fake-News story, is a Fake News story. We should be familiar with them at this point

Agreed, Georgiev has played like a mediocre backup goalie all year. And, in my opinion, that is only slightly worse than what I think he is.

While I don't blame the goalies for any of our losses.... I can't remember them stealing a game all season? Anyone?

I think they lose this game even with Igor in net, Bold enough to say it. Igor may keeps this a one or two goal game by the end. Offense was spent after those last two Devils games. Not too upset after they scored 12 goals in two games coming into this one. Pittsburgh just seems to have their number. They have been able to beat Washington and Boston, but they struggle with Pittsburgh for some reason.

Only saw most of the second half of the game, but this team and especially our young offensive stars play scared and robotic. Not sure if the this the coaches system being benched for one turnover. They continually do not look up and take plays that are given to them, try to two on one a defensemen and move away and get in an open lane when their teammate gets the puck (many times keep skate right at their teammate allowing one defender to check them both). When I watched they were losing 3-1 and continually dumped the puck when they had a support player coming that was wide open and would gain the zone, and usually the Pens defensemen was already backing up to get the dump in. Looks more they were trying to protect the lead than down.

Seriously? You are going to include the last couple of games where Shesterkin was injured into your count? You really just did that? Why don't we start to complain how many times in the last 6 games JJ played ahead of Trouba while we are at it? That would be just as logical.

Yeah......70% Look it up. Oh, how about only using the games in which Shesterkin could actually play in because he was healthy?
Yes, jumble lines cant be your 'go-to' move when you need to make adjustments.
That's nice. Now try to answer the actual question.

Oh, wow. You actually believe your own crap, huh? You are actually going to cherry pick one game and use it as exhibit A?
A Fake-News story, is a Fake News story. We should be familiar with them at this point
Fake news is counting games where a player has been injured as games he could have started over his backup. Wow. Now, I have seen everything here. Hey, you know what? Include Henke in how many more times has Georgiev started more than another Rangers goalie in the last 10 games.
