We have some good goaltending on this team.

We are ranked 31st in CF%, ranked 30th in Shots For %, ranked 29th for scoring chances against, and ranked 30th for high danger chances against.

And people on here, including myself, are very critical of the goaltending tandem. The fact that both of our goaltenders post above a .910SV% on arguably the worst defensive team in the NHL is remarkable.

5th in high danger save %.

Holtby, Price, are always heralded as two elite goaltenders in the NHL, and our guys have better numbers on a team with far worse defensive metrics. Just food for thought.

For goaltenders who have started a minimum of 20 games, Lundqvist's .911 ranks him 16th of 33 goaltenders, making him the median SV%, and doing that on arguably the worst defensive team in the league.

After watching Giannone and Vally talking about Panarin's 5 1/2 high leg kick.......I tried one, entering my kitchen (baking some Italian bread) and I think I pulled a hamstring.

Aaaah shit, now I have to hydrate myself with a Rum and Coke.

Would be interesting to know what KPIs were used to finally scratch Smith. IMO he's looked just as average in the last few games as he has for most of the season (and NYR tenure) yet they leave him out when there's an actual injury

don't be silly, coke doesn't help with hydration....

I'll give Kakko a pass this year. but next year I won't be as lenient. He needs to develop that man strength, upper and lower body. He is getting pushed around out there, also falling all over himself. I'll give him time, before calling it a bust. Still, it would be nice if he shows some of that potential he has now and then.

Zibad really surprised me last nite. He was so strong on the puck, it was like the Cane defenders didn't even bother to try to take the puck away he was protecting it so well. This is what I want from Kakko. And he has shown this in the Finnish league.
Put an 18-19 year old zibad in the NHL and see how he'd look...

Let's Go Georgie, we need a solid game and maybe a steal from him. This is a hot Toronto team and they'll be energized at home and don't want to lose to us, should be a tough night. Some guys like Buch and Kakko need to really step up and contribute more.
