Toronto with a lot of injuries. Rangers need the win to keep the season going.

Tough spot, but this team has been resilient as a road dog. We all know the record following the L, sprinkle in some Georgiev Toronto magic and maybe a few bounces keep us alive tonight...

we'll get out shot, out played and out chanced like every other night but somehow this is still a toss up

Should hopefully be another back to back Hank start- traditionally he's been very solid in those.

Also really hoping that it's Fogarty over Haley, and that Howden is the player bumped to the third line.

Stop playing Haley, just spin a wheel and pick one of Nieves, Lettieri, Gettinger or Di Giuseppe to replace him on the roster.

What a shame that our boys are busting their ass's trying to make the PO's. Only to be dismantled for picks and prospects.
True, jettisoned players will financially benefit as "part of the business", but even still.
What I dont understand is anyone willing to trade Georgiev prematurely. Whats the guarantee on Shesty? Just look how Kakko has petered out and can barely make any productive plays. Obviously 2 different positions, but you know what I mean. Not a given, until he's proven.
Kaapo isnt an immediate star, and after his original 10 games or so......who would have predicted him falling off a cliff this quickly? Hughes isnt exactly lighting it up either.

Maybe tonight vs a very weak defensive Toronto, Kaapo can get at least one, he needs confidence via productivity.

If in your professional career, the worst moment was getting traded while making less money from a group that was a project that was a long shot for success to a project that was more successful and you made 3 times more money, you are probably doing ok.

I'll give Kakko a pass this year. but next year I won't be as lenient. He needs to develop that man strength, upper and lower body. He is getting pushed around out there, also falling all over himself. I'll give him time, before calling it a bust. Still, it would be nice if he shows some of that potential he has now and then.

Zibad really surprised me last nite. He was so strong on the puck, it was like the Cane defenders didn't even bother to try to take the puck away he was protecting it so well. This is what I want from Kakko. And he has shown this in the Finnish league.

Exactly, which is why we can't expect much this year. Chill.

We all had hopes he would be gangbusters out of the gate. But we all now see he has some growing to do. Which is not at all disappointing really. He's a big kid and will fill out and develop. It's almost a certainty each year he will get better.
