Rangers being called divers and embellishers over at TSN. Worse than Subban. Wow.

When in this game did anyone even dive? They can't possibly be referring to the Miller or Zucc incidents, can they? Miller could've had his neck broken and Zucc is half the size of Buff who hit him from behind then was trying to rip the head off of his body.

Perhaps if there were even ONE marginal diving incident they'd have a point, but what? They should be embarrassed if that's the angle they're taking.

TSN pretending like the Byfuglien incident never happen; not even on their highlights. I bet if this were against the Leafs we wouldn't hear the end of it.

NHL tonight never even showed the Replay. The only Replay was Byfuglien's dirty play on Zuc at the end of the Game. I guess it never happened.

Really? Now that I consider strange since New York is big market club, they usually give the Rangers plenty of coverage. No idea why this is being glossed over.

There's a legit shot they both drop to Wild Card teams. Boston is 2 points behind the Wings for the 3rd spot in the Atlantic and the Caps are 1 point behind the Islanders and Penguins.]

We could actually end up playing any of Washington, Isles, Detroit, Ottawa or Boston. crazy.

The more i watch the video the more i question how in the holy hell Miller is even standing right now much less finished the game.

My thoughts exactly. When you look at the violence in which his head snaps forward, the whiplash, is just immense. Such, just such, a dangerous, disgusting and dirty ****in play. 5 games minimum.

Anyway, JT is someone I've struggled with being a full fan of. I get hot and cold on him. He's just never completely won me over. But tonight, I can say he has. To get right back in the game after taking that blow, to finish the game as he did, in the way he did, is just as earning of my respect as anything I can think of. He's a full true blue hard core Ranger now in my heart, and I'm now fully in his corner.

As far as the game, there were definitely parts of the game, and of our game, I didn't like. But I still thought it was a gutsy ass win, and I'm proud of the way we finished.

I'm still very upset about Byfuglien's crosscheck to Miller's neck. I'm no doctor, but that looks like it could have been a paralyzation. How do you think that stuff happens in football? Its the vertebrae getting crushed. Its quite conceivable that a man weighing around 280 pounds pushing down with a hockey stick onto someone's neck as hard as he can could break Miller's vertebrae.

If the NHL misses an elbow or bad boarding against one of our players, I'm not going to be happy, but the play is likely not going to be a life-threatening play. This was one of the few times I've seen in the NHL where the dirty play could have been life-threatneing. Maybe I'm just overreacting. Most of all, I hope JT is okay.

So half of this forum will whine because it was a close game and not a 6-1 blowout? When you have a busy schedule and have to travel to some God forsaken place called Winnipeg, this is how you win.

I don't think you're overreacting whatsoever. In fact, if I had the hammer I'd give him 10-15 games for it. The more you watch the replay, the more you realize how downright violent and risky it was. Miller is a ****ing warrior for staying in the game. A ****ing warrior. But he's gonna have a migraine like a mother****er tomorrow. But no, not overreacting. Just a dangerous dirty play that absolutely could've had far more dire consequences.

Not an overreaction, I feel the same.

It's uniquely dirty and dangerous, I've never seen anything like it. Totally unprovoked, as well.

No, these stats aren't fancy enough. Why can't people understand that Corsi means more than Points?

Corsi doesn't mean more than points :teach:

The whole winning on the road thing isn't so comforting when they have similar issues at home.

If corsi means more than points than am I to assume the top 16 corsi teams will be playing for the cup starting in a few weeks? I missed the memo...

5/7 teams that have won the cup since 2008 have finished at least top 5 in CF% soooooooooo.

Pretty sure the league will leave Big Buff alone, but will suspend Kreider for sexual harassment because he totally undressed Big Buff on the game winning goal.

13 of the top 16 teams in CF% are currently in playoff position, so it's actually not that far off lirl. The other 3 are Dallas, Florida, and the Hurricanes.

Happy with the win but I'm not going to say they played well or hold back rational criticism just because of the win. It is possible to enjoy a win and still make criticisms.
