Rangers visit Jets in search of first win on trip

RANGERS (35-28-4) at JETS (30-28-9)

TV: MSG, TSN-JETS
Last 10: New York 4-5-1; Winnipeg 3-3-4

Season series: The Winnipeg Jets defeated the New York Rangers 5-2 at Madison Square Garden on
Dec. 2. Olli Jokinen scored twice for the Jets.

Big story: The Rangers have started their three-game road trip with two losses, including 2-1 to
the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. New York has one goal in each of the two games.

"We just need to find a way to score goals," forward Derick Brassard told MSG Network. "I think
with the group of forwards that we have and everything, we just need to find a way to put the puck
in the net. We're going to face a team [that's] desperate to make the playoffs ... so it's not
going to be easy, especially in that building.

Duh. I'm stupid. I thought about a high draft pick whos name starts with P.

Perlini or Pastrnak? :dunno:

On topic: Go jets go! I'm never in favour of losing, even if our playoff hopes are miniscule. I'm predicting goals from Kane and Wheeler. Multiple goals.

TBH, I stopped informing myself about the top draft picks this year as soon as I heard Draisaitl will be eligible, which was like immediately after the WJC

Hate to say it but wouldn't mind if we lost. More and more I am scoreboard watching and cheering for the likes of Carolina, Nashville, Vancouver, Ottawa to win. 6th overall is easily within grasp

Can't cheer for a loss yet myself. Especially not when we have Dallas on Sunday.

I want the 2 points tonight and a Dallas loss in Calgary (frick), so a win on Sunday puts us at 1 point back (but with two more games played).

I'm going to be there tonight! I think that the Jets win, with one player scoring a certain number of goals and then the spectators suddenly being without a certain piece of headgear.

Keep in mind that Dallas is already down to a very tough Columbus team 1 - 0 so you can count it as an almost certain loss so we will really be down just 1 point with only one more game played. Then all we have to do is keep pace with the Stars and beat them on the 24th and we are playoff bound :handclap::handclap::handclap:

2.3% chance of making the playoffs my ass :p:

If Kane and Wheeler can awaken from their scoring coma we may have a chance.

We all know who should be on the 3rd and 4th lines, lets see how Mo does that tonight.

Postma in for Pardy or Ellerby, it's time.

I choose playoffs

Rangers coming off a tough loss to the Wild last night, so they may be tired.

4-2 Jets, Kane, Wheeler, Seto and Ladd
