Yea that too. Early comparisons before he started playing for us were McDonagh. His rookie season the comparisons were Leetch. Then they went back to McDonagh. I think that’s how it went.

He finished his Ranger career with comparisons to Mark Hardy.

I'm assuming teams weren't offering enough to make it worth it for us to move him. Knowing we have three on the roster, teams may have been low-balling, which I think was part of a rumor going around before the injury.

Lundqvist's contract isn't helping us any right now, but a buyout of he or Staal would clear things up enough if we needed it. Probably makes more sense for us to wait for the draft to move Georgiev or to hold on to both Georgiev and Shesty due to the volatility of goaltenders, especially since Shesty is expansion exempt.

What I love about PDG is he pushes hard on the forecheck that even if it doesn't work out, it makes the opposing team come away 200 feet, no easy outs and the opposing team starts their breakouts from deeper in their zone.
