Love beating the Islanders.

It disgusts me that time and time again they come out for these games so much more fired up than the Rangers do, it's understandable, but it always takes too long for the Rangers to wake up in these games at the Coliseum.

I'm developing a serious man crush on Nash. He was my favorite non-Ranger every year before this one, and now getting watch him every night is too much fun.

Surprised the Rangers didn't take a single minor. Surprised Haley didn't drop 'em (what's the deal with Whale players coming up notorious for fighting at the NHL level and not fighting?). Thought there were a lot more stick fouls that could have been called on the Islanders, and Capuano really has no business yelling at the officials like he was.

The good: Got the win, fought back well and are now on a 4 game streak. Hank was great, Nash is a beast, I thought the Lawman was good and the Gabby shot at the end was awesome.

The bad: The D was pretty bad, the 5v4 PP was woeful, Gabby was pretty horrible until overtime, the Rangers were completely out skated early - they need to come out sharper.

The Redden: Toss up between random Habs fan pasting about Prust in a Rangers v Isles GDT or the Isles coach being a sook at the end

Gaborik scores when it counts, gotta give him that.

Dude needs to use his slapshot more.

Still first in team GWG's despite the inconsistent season. Says a lot.

This is how the team needs to be though. Nash and his style of play is the main cog of the offense, and Gaborik slots in beautifully behind that.

Most exciting game of the season for me so far. They controlled play for most of the game and definitely deserved the two points; Nabokov was just awesome.

My three stars:
Nash
Stepan
Lundqvist

Gabbbyyyyy!!!!! Love Cally jumping 10 feet in the air haha. This is what we need, Nasher and Gabby both scoring.

Anyone know why Capuano was yelling at the refs at the end? Did he think that call on the hook was a bad call? That's a textbook hook, is it not? Guy breaking in on weak side without the puck, pass comes to him and he's hauled down. I don't see how it's a bad call, wonder what Capuano's argument would be.

Knew Gabs would score eventually, we are playing the Isles after all. Now hopefully he can gain some confidence and get on a roll.

Hank was great, he's been playing much better as of late.

Called on Nash and Gaborik and they both responded. Feels good, have to say.

For what its worth, or not worth, that penalty call in overtime was total crap. Biggest achievement in this game was staying out of the box for 61 minutes.

15 minutes for Hamrlik in his debut. 22 minutes for Nash with a game tomorrow, but he never lacked energy.

1) Hank
2) Nash
3) Stepan
4) Hagelin

The team came out flat, but woke up after Grabner's goal and dominated the rest of the game. Nabokov stood on his head, but the better team won in the end.

The 1st line had 16 shots (Nash 7, Hagelin 5, Stepan 4), they were our entire offence tonight.

Despite his OTG, Gaborik was especially invisible, and I think a shakeup is in order. Despite the success of our 1st unit, switch Hagelin and Gaborik. Hagelin has chemistry with anyone, and hopefully Nash and Stepan's good play can generate some juicy chances for Gaborik to finish.
