Why would Carolina do this?

Why would you be so over the top with your post?

Frankly, as good as Skinner is, I worry about his health.

He has had a very tough road.

I would not give up on Vesey without thinking long and hard about it.

I know it probably annoys you, but Vesey looks like he is going to be a pretty decent player.

Car doesn't trade the better player, and New york doesn't want Skinner's cap hit. This puts NYR over the cap anyway.

Vesey is untouchable, not only because how good he is but also because no one would want to sign with us ever again.

In a vacuum I'd probably do this deal. But it really doesn't do anything for us in reality. We'd be adding a big cap hit and trading away a player who we probably made a lot of guarantees to in order to sign here.

There might be a deal between these teams given NYR has lots of good young forwards and Carolina has lots of good young D.

I highly doubt these players are involved though.

Ignoring value and stuff aside, why are the Rangers trading an ELC away for a guy making $5.75M? Doesn't make sense financially at all.

Rangers need more ELC talent with the direction they're going in and their cap situation and Vesey has been playing VERY WELL, despite not scoring the past few games.

Carolina isn't going to trade their best goal scorer who is also still pretty damn young.

This trade is pointless.

Over the top? I asked 'why would Carolina do this?' Seems like a pretty legitimate question.

Why would you be worried about Skinner's healthy? What's tough about his road ahead? He's only missed 17 games in the past 4 seasons lol, and only 41 games out of a possible 470 in his career. That's equates to 75 game per full season. So much ignorance . . .

Vesey is a fine player but he is nowhere close to Jeff Skinner. He's had a good start to his career, but is also shooting at 25%. He will be lucky to break 20g or 40p this year, and he's only a year younger than Skinner.

Why would the Rangers?

Because he's a young proven 30 goal scorer?

Rangers only real need is a puck moving RHD, Vesey is untouchable as are plenty of other Rangers. Skinner has health and salary concerns to make this a NO-brainer of a pass from the NYR.

LOL. Rangers aren't trading Vesey after wooing him as a UFA and having him on an ELC.

Canes aren't trading their most dynamic scorer, who is only 1 year older than Vesey. Vesey is in a great spot in NYR as they are deep at forward and he doesn't have to be "the guy". If he was traded for Skinner, he would immediately be expected to be "the guy" in Carolina, an offensively inept team.
