I think he's gonna love both of those guys. Lafreniere is straight-ahead skill and has that Vegas culture written all over him. Kakko is really good defensively already and should be a nice mould for Gallant to work with.
It couldn't get any worse for Kakko. He basically said in a Finnish interview last year that he was terrified of doing anything with the puck because Quinn would bench him.

Nah, I watched some stuff on Keenan. The dude was straight up sociopath.
With Gallant everything shady is in the dark though, with Keenan it was up front.

I'm curious to see what Gallant can get out of the Rangers forwards as far as physicality/getting tougher to play against. No they wont fight, but his players run through walls for him it seems and the Rangers forwards aren't really "small" most of them are 6 ft 200+ but can they play like it?

Nice. Some of my personal fav posters here went WAAAY crispy noodles over Quinns firing imo.
I never get over hyped over coaches, one way or the other.
Didn't for Fred Shero. Didn't for Herb Brooks.. But thats me.
So I didn't waste anybodys time on middling polyana retorts about status quo.
But I'm looking forward to see how long it takes for the meltdowns. I can see them now.
1-Gallants system isn't right for the players
2- insert young player who "DOESN'T GET A FAIR CHANCE!!"
3- Gerard is a big meany.
4- His powerplay blows chow so therefore his assistants suck.
5- Some kind of goalie bs that Gerard is "indecisive about". Or he's riding a goalie "TOO HARD!!"
6) He's too tough on LAF/KK/KM/NL/VK or calls out his players with implications of suckage in the media.
Gonna be fun. We got what we borderline obsessed for here. Let's see where this goes.

I’m a bit surprised Quinn got my years on his deal than Gallant but whatever I suppose.
