I think the Rangers are under the least amount of pressure from a tickets sales/fan support standpoint. He obviously has to do 'something' but nothing drastic will change their fortunes midseason. They kind of need a rebuild and paying Shestyrkin as much as they did was a bad move.

I feel like Drury's not going anywhere. Jimmy Dolan doesn't go thru GMs often and he only hires people he's known for a long time. He's not the type to like, you know, interview a bunch of qualified candidates and then hire the best fit.

He's only replacing Drury with someone that's been known in some capacity to the organization for a long time. And no one really exists right now that fits that bill.

I mean when you look back at the situation the fact that Drury wanted to blow it up after losing 2 games in a row in a west road trip looks insane. My theory is that is created a huge distraction in the room and the Trouba trade made it worse.
