Rangers have lost 15 out of their last 19 games. What would you do if you were Dolan (the owner of the team) or Drury (the GM)?

I haven't been watching the Rangers much at all but I was shocked that nothing they did seemed to energize their bench. From the drop of the puck today, they seemed like they knew they were going to lose.
I don't feel bad for the team, but I feel for the fans if this is the level they're watching right now. And I'd know a thing or two about watching uninspired hockey.

That was definitely a “send management a message” type of effort by the Rangers. Right before Christmas, against their rival - organizational rock bottom (so far).

It’s crazy to me the tact Chris Drury has taken as GM. He’s not that far removed from being a player himself, but he’s been the exact opposite of a player’s GM and it’s spectacularly blown up in his face.

. I get the sense that there's a lot of toxicity in the organization at the moment.

Quick played spectacularly today and they still lost 5-0.

This is gonna go off the rails even more and quickly.

It's all the GM's fault. He has made baffling decisions & it's blowing up in his face. 1) They shouldn't of traded Trouba, I know he wasn't the best player in the world but he gave them an identity. Players knew they could get murdered by him. My team knows this all too well. Now that he's gone that roster is paper soft. 2) Igor shouldn't of been re-signed. They just handed him a giant contract & it's going to age like sour milk. As great as he is you never throw that type of contract to an older goalie. If anything they could've got one the biggest hauls in nhl history if they retained 50% and traded him. That would've made him hands down the most sought after trade piece 3) Giving up Kakko for peanuts 4) Hanging on the coach too long

It is only a matter of time before Shesterkin requests a trade.

Everyone knew the Oilers would get out of it. Their metrics were really good, and it's not hard to predict a team with two top 5 forwards to break out.

The Rangers are very different.
You're right for sure.
Was trying to be optimistic for Rags fans.

Probably because they played on the jumbotron like 2 hours ago. At least they had the courtesy to wait until Kakko was booted before doing so.

LOL, sure THAT'S the most interesting thing about the Devils, not the Hughes brothers or being a top 5 team in the league so far this season. OK.

I won't get into a shit-throwing contest with you or any other hockey fan, but we all know the hierarchy when it comes to interest and popularity both in the area and in the NHL.

That's what I meant.

The most interesting thing for me right now is the Devils outscoring the Rags 10-1 in the two games they played each other this year. Ouchies.

Yep. We suck. You're good. Last year it was different. So it goes.

And what makes the rangers interesting? Been playing boring hockey for years.

The Devils have won 3 cups since the last time the Rangers won one.

Devils will most likely extend the number and win another before the Rangers .

NJD is a much better sports franchise than NYR.

Only thing the Rangers have is playing in NYC and that has nothing to do with the hockey team.

Again, not going to get into a shit-tossing contest with you guys. I will say, though that you guys are the best team in New Jersey, even though two other teams play in your state and don't want to be associated with it ;).

But nah, I love NJ...parts of it, at least.

- Wouldn't sign Igor to that massive contract.
- Would've kept Kakko or traded him for a simular caliber player at least.
- Trade Kreider in a shakeup Trade.
- Trade Zibby if he'd waive

there is no saving kreider or ziby at this point. trade both and try to retool a bit younger. fire the coach and gm.
