Rangers have lost 13 out of their last 17 games. What would you do if you were Dolan (the owner of the team) or Drury (the GM)?

You must be proud of the banner they put up. Good you belong with the rest of the clowns

I agree about the Trouba situation, I think as soon as that became public he needed to be moved before the season started
No, my point isn’t we achieved anything important, my point is we seemed not a million miles away and now we do.

When is it you expect us to be better than that team?

A few small changes might have been enough to give us a chance. Or not.
Do I think Drury has a plan that will bring us success? Absolutely not. And I pray hard that I am wrong.

Nah, the second a cancer is identified, you cut it out immediately. Nothing good will come from letting that player linger around. Or many players if it comes to that.

I don't see him as a cancer ... I think they publicly embarrassed a well liked player, and his teammates didn't like it. In effect they CREATED the very locker room problem they now claim to be trying to clean up, by the way they approached things (in effect, expecting him to waive his NTC because they wanted him to).

You can't fire19 or 20 players,so you fire the coach. It seems like the Rangers' problems are based n lack of 5 on 5 defense. That is a team wide effort issue, which means they have tuned out the coach.

The problem is that they tuned out David Quinn and he was fired in May 2021. They fired Gerard Gallant less than 2 full years later, despite an ECF appearance, in April 2023. Now we’re talking about firing Laviolette, despite an ECF appearance, in December 2024. How many coaches does this group of players get to say “Nah, we know better” to?

Idk I’m torn in between because yea technically we weren’t far away, but I mean you saw that we were getting skated off the ice in the Fla series, Kreider had a Christmas miracle against Carolina otherwise that was going seven. The 5con 5 thing has been a problem for several years.

You know the old Hank team although not as talented played hard and was a team to be proud of. What more could be done for this group? They quit on three coaches.

The other thing was this was going to happen anyway with our prior gm getting the boot half way through a retool.

I'm confused. What's the situation with trouba? Just that they traded him when he wanted to be in New York?

This is true. The Bruins fired two Adams winners and Julien. I feel your pain. It would be nice if dumping say two entitled players turned around the team, but that just seems too complicated. Furthermore, if goes beyond two or three players, and it sounds like it does, then the house has to be cleaned.

This is probably *why* Drury is blowing the team up. Teams go through funks like this all the time and it's not worth trading your captain over. But to prevent yet another quit because the culture is toxic? Yeah it makes sense. You gotta remember Fox and Trouba pulled the "i WaNnA PlAy 4 tEh RaNjUrZ" card and Panarin didn't do CBJ any favors packing up and leaving too.

This team is full of dudes out for themselves and a lifestyle and I'm not surprised we got here

Edit: stupid auto correct

From what I heard, Rangers management went to Trouba and forced him to waive his NMC and if he didn't, then they will trade him to any team in the league with him having no say.

Who cares how many coaches you fire if the end result of those firings sees your team deep in a playoff run? I never understood like somehow you should be embarrassed you fired a bunch of coaches in a small amount of time but the end result is you going deep into the playoffs.lnill take that trade off.

Why would McDavid sign with a bad team?
Why even respond to a clown post?

I agree with most of that. I don’t think we were the best team by any stretch but there was certainly hope.

I agree this team has played an infuriating style and the players in general aren’t as likeable for me as a lot of Hank’s teams.

At this moment it is easy to be angry with the players. We’re watching them give a horribly confused effort game in and game out. I don’t know what’s the right thing to do now, but I am convinced it was horribly mismanaged.

I mean if he says no they can't trade him to any team. But maybe they said waive to Anaheim or we won't tell you which of the 17 teams on your trade list you will be going to. He has a 15 team no trade list.
