Rangers have lost 13 out of their last 17 games. What would you do if you were Dolan (the owner of the team) or Drury (the GM)?

The way things are going Drury is getting fired at the end of the year (or ahead of the deadline if they are selling). What does he have to lose by firing another coach?

He's trying to show ownership that the team was a fraud last year.

Huh? What is he specifically doing that demonstrates he is 'trying to show' how fraudulent the team was last year? Why would a coach intentionally do anything that results in the team performing poorly when the coach is typically the first one to lose their job when that happens?

I've never seen a coach fired right before Christmas and I don't believe even Dolan is that ruthless. Before their next game on the 28th though? For sure.

12 shots is absolutely insane. The locker room must be absolutely f***ed at this point cause they are better than that. It’s not like a Carolina situation where they lost a lot of key guys to free agency.
It's not as bad as you think. May be hard for the Rangers fanbase to accept, but look at how many saves Markstrom has to make per game the past month. Keefe's Devils are playing airtight hockey right now and running over everyone.

It's sad that I honestly, legitimately think that Sean Avery would be a better GM/president than Chris Drury because I can't see how anyone could f*** up worse than Drury has.
I wouldn’t. He’s way too emotional and erratic. He’d destroy the rangers because other GMs would hate him and not want to deal with him. He also wouldn’t be able to hold his tongue and he call out his own players way too often publicly and the team would hate him.

As an isles fan, I’m all for it!! lol

FWIW, this Rangers fan wanted Hughes more than Kakko. I was never crazy about Kakko to begin with. I know, I know, hindsight is 20/20, but Hughes really did remind me of prime Patrick Kane.

It's a completely moot point and nothing you have to justify - Hughes went first. It's not like NYR passed up on him. They would have taken him if they had the #1 pick.

Just classic rivalry shit in a draft year where #1 and #2 were both projected to be franchise players

Rangers fans would have cheered harder if NJD took KK
Devils fans would have cheered the same way if NYR had the first pick

Not sure why anyone is still celebrating or laughing about a lottery win or loss half a decade later

Because the most interesting thing about the Devils to the outside world is their shockjock arena experience and social media team, so of course they're going to try to ruffle up some feathers like they do online.

Where is all this Avery for GM nonsense coming from?

I honestly cannot think of a worse candidate. Aside from all the trash human stuff, the guy is just way too emotionally unhinged. It would be a complete disaster.

So you know, go for it. Do it.

Apparently from Spittin' Chicklets. I don't listen to the podcast but it wouldn't surprise me. When Kovalchuk was traded to the Devils, all the smoke originally came from Potvin on SiriusXM Radio and it devolved into a 'War of the Worlds' style back and forth frenzy.

This seems to be the modern day version of that.
