Rangers have lost 13 out of their last 17 games. What would you do if you were Dolan (the owner of the team) or Drury (the GM)?

Season is over. They lost to the 32nd best team in the league for the second time in just a few days. They scored 1 goal between the two games.

3 wins in the last 14 games. The entire organizaiton needs a facelift.

They tanked the locker room and lost the trust of players league wide all to still suck. Pretty brutal.

We're officially below .500 now (yes, overtime losses are still losses).

I wonder what the record is for worst season finish 1 year after winning the President's trophy?

Their schedule for the next month or so is insanely brutal

Stars, Hurricanes, Devils, Lightning, Panthers, Bruins, Capitals, Blackhawks, Stars, Devils, Golden Knights, Avalanche

Only non-playoff opponent is Chicago. Most of these teams are considered elite and a cup contender. It's about to get a lot uglier

Yeah this could get really bad for a few years.

Next year’s UFA period will be telling to see if players are still willing to sign there.

They immediately signed Igor to the biggest goalie contract in history within hours of trading Trouba away.
Which has zero impact in this season’s cap.

Everyone, including Trouba, knew he was gone by this upcoming offseason so that cap hit was always gonna be off the books before a Shesterkin extension kicked in.

Not sure what the point was of trading Trouba this early in the season with no obvious replacement and then just sitting on all that extra cap space, particularly as the season spirals out of control.

The fact the Dolan even met Avery for advice means Dolan is a complete moron. Take it one step further than that and hire him as GM, that would signify insanity.

I didn't realize the NY Rangers had an ECHL franchise with the same name.

This is a storied franchise on a losing streak.. no one serious is considering Sean Avery to be the GM in 2024.
Let me stop you right there, friend. Are you not familiar with the Tao of James Dolan?

Every moronic, chaotic idea is not just possible, but inevitable. Bask in its glorious schadenfreude, and rejoice!

I remember when Avery released a Players' Tribune article where he claimed that a salary of $13.2M of salary over a career really equates to around $600,000 of take-home pay. I wasn't sure if he were an idiot or just thought everyone else was.

Always thought that was a low point for the Players' Tribune.

That's the money he has left. :D

Didn’t he say he had to eat off of the dollar menu on the road to save his per diem so he could afford to live?

Reminds me of this, but replace candles with something else that starts with c and ends with ocaine.
