It doesn’t matter who Trouba skates with he still makes so many mistakes. He has really only had 2 great games this year. I expected more for what we are paying him

He needs to be paired with an elite #1D to cover for his mistakes and not look out of place playing top pairing minutes. The problem is he's payed to be that guy which he never has been and never will be.

Our defensemen are so horse shit at shooting the puck. Staal literally hasn't tried to shoot on net since 2015. Trouba just wants to crank it hard but it's inaccurate. Smith just shoots wide. It's Tony and Fox or nothing. The rest of the guys can't even get a puck through.

You guys make fun of Staal so much but if you watch him closely when he's in the offensive zone, he's been secretly playing a game of offensive zone hot potato in his head and dominating the rest of the league 982 to 4 . Every night he skates off the ice and evaluates his play solely based on how many times to managed to throw the hot potato away and back out of the offensive zone.
