Post-Game Talk: Rangers @ Flyers | 4/16/13 | Backups

Throw away the first period as if you are such a good team that you don't need it.

HaHaha. ****ing Rangers. Who do they think they are?

We were honestly the better team tonight.

That's more a testament to how bad the Flyers got at the end of that game more than anything, though. Effort was sub-par, Lundqvist was poor, PP was bad, and we made a sieve look like a star goalie.

Yeah it's probably for the best. Torts needs to go. He doesn't go unless we miss the playoffs.

Granted even that is probably only the start, but it's a start.

As much as I want this team to make the playoffs and go on a tear... this team absolutely doesn't deserve it if they keep playing like this; no heart, no fight, no urgency. Lazy, bored, slop hockey.

One of the worst games of the year. To let that go without 1 point is unacceptable. Rest of the games this year and now must wins. Brutal.

What's wrong with Callahan? I think he's most likely a terrible captain who gets nothing out of his teammates. His offense has been terrible the last 5+ games.

Lundqvist=team.

If he isn't perfect, or close to it, we loose. Jeebus. Such a shame Hanks stuck with a team that can't score to help him out.

Did we see:

Strong and responsible positional defense?

A high number of high percentage chances generated?

A functioning, breathing powerplay?

A cohesive transition game where many passes were made in a row?

Nope. No, we did not.

Scoring less than 3 on STEVE MASON is unforgiveable. Like Avada Kadevra, Crucio, and Imperio levels.

Lulz at Pierre wondering why Torts wasn't starting Nash on the power play.

That's our Torts, Pierre! :shakehead

Thing is the second unit looked ten times better than the 1st with Nash on it.

When we double up the other team on shots, there's no excuse not to win. Watching too much Devils game tape lately I guess

What happened there.. Rangers had all the momentum and ten Mason gets hurt and nothing? Did he do it on purpose? You're urgency has to go up even higher when something like that happens..

Feels a little petty to sit here and ***** about the Rangers in light of what has happened. All I'm going to say is, Critical loss. Critical loss.

Needs more JAM.

But seriously, Nash, Callahan, and Hank (for the most part) were underwhelming tonight. Richards was a non-factor as usual. Girardi, McDonagh, and DZ need Staal back because they're playing too much. Zucc, Step, and Brass did what they could.

The team showed up expecting an easy win. Play every game like it's your last.
