The difference between HoltZ this year and Holtz last year are the little things that lead to posession. Little pokes and plays. I'm thinking he is going to be fine on the second line. I can see him with a 25-25 season.

25 goals is quite a lot of goals. With how he's playing currently, I don't think he'd get that many. Pointless to predict that right now.

I don't think I'd say they were overly bad but they definitely weren't good. Mediocre at best. The one GA was a mess from both of them on the breakout

He's certainly got the shot to do it but getting to 25 goals with how little he shoots would be a tough feat. I'd feel much more comfortable with the 25 assist prediction

It’s a pre-season game, but they weren’t good 5-on-5 after the first. Of course it was a pre-season game played at a pre-season pace, so I’m not that worried.

PP looks good except that last one. Which helped make VV’s stars reflect his actual performance.

I actually think I liked this one more than the first game outside of the goal

Mercer was the 8th forward and 5th wing tonight at Even Strength with 10:04. That about 4 minutes below his average from last year ...only preseason I know

It was a very Rangers win which was funny. Last 40 was pretty bad at 5v5 but the PP came through

Holtz was definitely decent. Whether he’s ready for the second line is another question. But he seems like he’s busting his butt out there.
